Hi there... Just thought that since we've had a 'rush' of new members recently that I would open up a thread so that they could introduce themselves. So if you're a new or old member, say a quick hello and perhaps introduce yourself (interests in the project, etc.). Kage

New or old member? So basically all members then? *rubs hands* 'Hello', I'm CELS (or Carl, if you prefer) and I'm subsector manager for Archaios and also a 'global moderator' on the forum, which basically means I get to yell at people for spamming and double posting... to no effect at all My interest in this project is... well, I don't know exactly. I just think it's a cool idea, though I don't know if I'll ever use the Anargo sector for wargaming or RP purposes. Probably just as a resource for writing fan fiction, if that.

Im kinda working on the idea of the Aracnus criminal organisation (which is under eldar control). Im also working on the concept of an alien race called the Kasachidur. And finally, Im busy with the chaos presence in the sector which will be Alpha Legionaires and their cults
I just started out the creation of a new alien race called the Unibians, they are traders.

I’m zholud both here and on some other forums. In case you wonder about the nick – it is my surname and it means acorn in Ukrainian. I’m moderator of Hiveworld sub-sector, creator of worlds Meksum I (capital of sub, unusual Hiveworld), Meksum III (rare habitable gas giant) and agri-world Neu Povolzh. Also I am known as nit-picky hear-splitting bastards who starts raining on your parade whenever you get a nice idea. Right now I am struggling with corrupted by power Inquis over the name of SM chapter on our sector and I call everyone to vote thereCELS' edit- We typically don't agree on much ;D I've gone from Inquis to Rogue Inquisitor now, btw. Oh, and did you know that in greek, the word for acorn is slang for male genitalia? And not only in Greek to my knowledge.

Hi, I'm either Minister or Minister for Moral Truth (depending on how many symbols are allowed in the name) here, at Portent, The Warp, Exterminatus, the Conclave, the Epic forums Bolter and Chainsword if I recall correctly... All over the place. I'm Sub-Sector mod/commander for the Cardnial World sub-sector, and have responsibility for Battlefleet Anargo. I am also the most important person here for a wide and varied variety of reasons, which I shall not disclose at this time. ;D

'lo everyone! I'm Skabbhatt, you may know me as the Quoteer, Dimitri or IRL as Sebastian. I hang usally around here, at Portent or exterminatus.net. You will find my MSN account in my profile.
Just now I'm working on Antares, a rough agriworld with hoards of Grox, I draw inspiration from my memory of Mad Max and the Postman.
I'm here because I love the concept of 40k, and I love to use, play and improve it.
Oh and I'm also in the Roll of Honour. Veery flashy! ;D

Hi. My name is Kage and I have a prob... Erm, no... really must remind myself that I say that at the other meetings. I obviously created the basic concepts for this hair-brained scheme, although as with any collective efforts it has long since grown beyond those rather simplistic premises. I must admit that the original postings on Portent were designed to stimulate discussion on the 'fluff', but then it was quickly realised that a project which catered to both the wargame and the RPG would be that much more than either could be together. Imagine a sector that had the consistency and logic of the RPG but with some of the 'grand sweep' of the wargame campaign... I can, and that's why I continue to be involved in this project. Unfortunately as these things go time is always an issue, and with finalising my PhD (submitted in 7 god-awful months!) my input in terms of actual world-building is not as high as I would. But soon I intend to get the 'Guide' finalised in terms of an example of world creation. Following CELS' wonderful 'standard template' for presenting information, it shouldn't be too long before things are completed on that side of things... I hope that wargamers will take a peek in at the RPG side of things (Factory, RPG) and that RPGers will take a peek at the wargame side of things. I know that I'm personally rather interested (as a RPGer) of getting a decent wargame campaign going when there is sufficient information on the worlds to support this activity. Erm, anyway... I'm going to stop rambling. I seem to do it with greater frequency nowadays! CELS: shut up! KageCELS' edit- Didn't you say "quick hello"? *ducks*

Hello, I'm TheGlyphstone. I was attracted here because of the promise of finding a home for my long-homeless alien race, the Atlantans.
I planned originally to just use this as a testing ground for my Atlantan background, but I discovered that there is so much more. Now, if I can only figure out how to work that #@$^ World Generator.....

Hello everone, I'm Shoulder.
I'm here 'cause I'm quite fond of 40k fluff, and creating a sector sounds like just the tribute I'm in for.
Currently I'm working on the Hiveworld of Partena in the Meksum subsector.

I'm Sojourner (some call me Tom) and I'm responsible for the Mining world Trireme Apollo in the Castellan subsector. I also take it upon myself to criticise anyone's numeracy, language skills and scientific reasoning, with little or no basis in actual fact

I'm Brother Bauldry, and I was drawn here because it reminds me of what I have tried to do a few times in the past. I didn't have access to the tools that are available now, nor a forum like this to voice ideas.
I'm still trying to get a handle on the World Builder, but I am willing to pitch in where needed.
I prefer dealing with Tech planets, either current or lostech.
Thanks, BB

AtomSmasher to most that I know online, Evan to those that I know in real life. I've been playing 40k since late 1995, first as Orks, then a Dark Angels successor chapter, now back to Orks again. As those in my gaming league know, I'm a veritable encyclopedia of fluff (which is kinda sad) and a walking rulebook. I'm a lurker on Portent, found a link to you guys and thought I'd say hey before lurking some more, and perhaps making an intelligent post or two. Thanks for the welcome in the Orks section Kage, hope our views on Orks don't class too badly

Hey .. I'm the Hairy Heretic. You can blame Carl for inviting me along here ;D
I've been playing 40k since Rogue Trader, so can probably contribute a wealth of useless trivia from way back.
I expect to be mostly concentrating on the chaos side of things, fighting the Long War and looking for ways to bring down the lackeys of the carrion god.
I've already bounced a few ideas off Carl, and am waiting for him to respond before I post them here.
