Hello, Treadhead from the Portent boards here! I am a resident Genestealer player (yes i have been making a cult list ) and I am interested in trying to get some fiction, as well as an online setting for my Cult. Also, I hpe that i can be of help with anything Eldar/Tyranid in the way of fluff or rules queries, but mostly, I just want to help with what is essentially a very good idea! Good Luck to All Sokahr

Hi I'm Brage though I usually go by Egarb on the web (meerly so i can actually REMEMBER my names lol), i gotvery interested in warhammer 40k models and fluff (I'n fact iv'e never actually played a game, not enough interested people in my region) but this seemed an interesting idea and may be the thing that finnaly gets me interested in playing (I read about the open endedness of Rouge Trader and cried because i didnt get into 40k sooner)
My personal intersts are usually the lesser known things in 40k like robots and LOtD, things that didn't actually get 'destroyed' in the 40k universe but sorta were just left behind (i also like to put things in parentheses [sp?])

Welcome to all new posters, e.g. Insidious Threat and Egarb. Good to have you hear and look forward to seeing your dive head or feet first - it's a preference thing! - into the project. There are still tons to be done, so if you have any particular skills (art, writing, web design, 3d map construction (! ) then make them known. Visualisation is, at the moment, a key problem as is the number of worlds that have been accepted into the archive... Make your presence known! One minor point in case you didn't already know, but I'm going to be temporarily away for two more weeks (writing up the final bits of my PhD; only 10,000 words more to write! ish! ), then I'm going to have plenty of spare time for a few more weeks... After that I'm going to be out of contact since I'm make a trans-Atlantic move to start up a new job in a different country and it's going to take a while for me to negotiate getting phone, a new ISP, etc. Keep with the project, however, and make yourself an active and useful member and we'll go far... and we'll be able to produce something worth the somewhat grandiose visions that I have and make people sit up and go, "Yeah... cool." Hello.
My name is Marijan, pronounced just like Marian, (but with a roll of the 'r' and equal emphasis on both 'a's), similar to 'Maid Marian', although I'm not a maid and most certainly do not fancy anyone called Robin.
I signed up to this forum a little while back, but I've been so busy that I haven't made the time to post on it much.
I've just started posting in the Meta-Theory section on a thread investigating the nature of the Warp. I hope I can bring something interesting to this and other discussions, and am really looking forward to seeing the Anargo end 'product' when it is all drawn together.
*raises a glass to Kage for coming up with the idea in the first place*

Hello I am RascalLeader, I have been playing WH40K since the early 90's (1994 M'thinks).
I came across this web site little under a fornight ago when I was strangly enoght trying to come up with ideas for creating a 40K Campaign system with fully developed Sector/planets.
Although I am not sure I will be much help at world building; I am going to give it a go. But what I prefur is comming up with idea, fluff and rules. I hope I will be some help to the project.

Hello,
I'm Strygaldwyr, feel free to use Stry for short. I've been lurking the boards for a little while now and thought I'd better post and introduce myself.
My W40K interest tends to be Eldar focused so I expect any posts I make will be on those forums. I'm particularly interested in producing some art to post however as Kage knows I have art issues so...

Well, since others have already gone and ruined the idea of this thread by posting twice (I'm looking at you, Kage ) I might as well welcome the new members. I'm glad you did introduce yourself, Stry. Members who join without posting tend to get removed. I'm also very happy to hear that you want to produce art. The forum allows no attachments, so if you want me to upload something, mail it to me. As always, if anyone has any questions, PM me or Kage

ahoy. i'm Pudding, which i use because of this, which is actually me, yes, and beacuse i got sick of all the various handles i was picking up. so Pudding it is. i was directed here by Kage (da boss) and i'd love to get involved with creating a big ol' sector of stuff; i'm an old school 40k'er, started back with Rogue Trader, but i've kind of tuned out in recent years as the fluff, which got me into the game in the first place, failed to capture my imagination. i'm hoping to get some of that dazzle back here, and in turn contribute some of my irrascible charm to the project. or that's the theory at least. i used to play Eldar in 40k, but i've since given up on 40k after picking up the Tau for a bit, and now confine myself to BFG, where i play every fleet i can get my mitts on (except Necrons). i still have an abiding love for the Eldar and, thus, an abiding hatred for Gav Thorpe because i blame him for ruining them. so halloo to all and hope this rocks as much as it seems to.

Glad that you dropped by, Pudding. Also glad to hear that you were an eldar player... I'm always interested in feedback to my approach - the greatest 'diversion' of ASP from the canonical universe - as well as new perspectives.
Again, glad to have you along!

Hello Ryan, welcome to the ASP world builders are more than welcome, I would ask that you familiarise yourself with the format we use, if you haven't already, and that you perhaps introduce the concepts a little in the sub sector forums you think would benifit from having your world so we can all have a good look and pull it apart to see how it works Feel free to comment on anything else on the forum as well, try not to limit yourself to just world building

Their loss is our gain. Welcome aboard Ryan. I'm not familiar with Rogue Angel Productions, so I can say for sure if their system for world building is similar to our own, so as dazo recommended, you will definitely want to check out the world building format for the ASP.

And with that, let's leave this thread for people who are introducing themselves and continue any discussion with Ryan elsewhere. Ryan; welcome to the ASP. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the project. If you have anything you want to share with us from your former projects, just post them in the appropriate forum here
