Thanks a bunch for your help, Dazo! Now, in addition to the information about the main world, I need the extended system generation. In other words, I need to know about the other gas giants and planets and asteroid rings in the system.

The first ork world is perfect. Enough said.

The second ork world has a very low gravity. Is there any chance you could increase it slightly, by randomly increasing the planet's density?

Edit later that day: Right. Late last night, I was thinking about what I wanted my next two Imperial worlds to be like. Feeling inspired by Dazo's wonderful crystal world, I felt that I needed something somewhat original. In other words, no terraformed worlds with standard atmospheres.

Idea 1) A world where some sort of heavy gas lies like an ocean above the actual ocean. If anyone has played LBA 2: Twinsen's Oddyssey, they'll know what I mean. The people on this world would live on islands of land above the cloudy oceans of heavy gas. A common type of vehicle might be a sort of hover-craft, with gas containers that cause it to float above the layer of heavy gas clouds, with only small jets or propellers for propulsion.

Idea 2) Not really that exciting, really. I need one of the Knight worlds to be tidally locked, with one side infernally hot. I also want the world to have such extreme differences in temperature that powerful winds constantly ravage the world (though not powerful enough to prevent colonisation) and send heavy cloud formations crashing into eachother, creating near constant thunderstorms. So on one side, you'd have a hot inferno, and on the other side you'd have an everlasting thunderstorm in perpetual darkness.

Now I just need everyone's help to explain such conditions. What kind of gas would be heavy enough to actually seperate itself and form a sort of cloudy gas-ocean? Is this even possible?

And what would cause such great thunderstorms and massive cloud formations? Is this possible without creating conditions that are as inhospitable as Jupiter in our own system?

In the system of the first ork world (with a G0VI star), I'm not sure if I'm reading this correctly. 2 worlds closer to the star than the mainworld, and then three satelites around the mainworld that are almost as big as the mainworld itself, and then two gas giants further out? What size are these gas giants, by the way?

For the second ork world's system, I'm reading it as the mainworld being closest to the star, with three gas giants and one other planet in the system. Is that correct?

Are you sure about the number of planets and gas giants though? Sometimes when I use Heaven & Earth, it generates more gas giants and planets than the UWP gives.


Any use as a knight world? Why would they not be of use? I was planning on them being the knight worlds of Proteus.


Cool. Well, that means that I need to find a mainworld with an exotic atmosphere.


I didn't mean that one could float on it like one might float in the water. I'm just saying that if the lower atmosphere is divided into two (a light gas and a heavy gas), then you could have vehicles that use gas tanks to stay above the heavy gas. Same principle as rubber boats such as the Zodiacs, really.


Erf... no way around this? Perhaps by changing the composition or amount of water?
