I've been thinking about those...I mean in the imperium, I mean its such a big place, drug smugglers, smugglers of illegal goods (xenos tech? or artifacts)...
Any ideas about some of these groups..maybe I could work on some kinda "detective story"...
I like the idea of such an organisation that is being led by either a Tzeentch magus (cult leader) or maybe a thousand son marine/sorcerer/champion...
Maybe they also use Xenos mercenaries..on a small scale, maybe some Elder Outcast as hitman?

At one point lord_fenric (Portent) was meant to be tackling this, though I haven't seen him around the 'Net for quite some time. Probably the holiday period once again. Criminal organisations would definitely be present in the Anargo sector, though I would advocate that we define the 'mundane' before expanding it to the Chaotic... Perhaps you have some more concrete suggestions on both types, malika? Kage

well...basicly Im thinking of a story about some arbites detective investigating some smuggling affairs...a group smuggles xenos good in the anargo sector (nothing chaos involved) kinda mix between imperium gothic and japanese Yakuza ;D
Im thinking of incoorporating a xenos hitman (or women) in it..but Im still kinda thinking about what race...eldar seems cool..maybe a Dark Eldar Mandrake...would one of those hire themselves out to a filthy mon keigh?
Edit - Just to incorporate these two posts - Kage.

Well that would be interesting... It is your prerogrative to set pieces of fiction in the Anargo sector. That is, after all, what it is there for. But wouldn't it be more interesting to set them around criminal organisations that are an integral and accepted part of the Anargo sector rather than your addition? Kage

yes the movement has been there all along, they might even be part of the government, that thing will just be there.
It will probably be something like an arbites detective (Im still looking for a fancy latin name for that) who was investigation a murder case, he find xenos ammo in the victim, and now the "yakuza" group wants to hunt him down so the =][= wont find out there is any xenos presence...

Ah, so you're sticking with the idea of just writing a story then? In that case this needs to be in the fiction forum... Unless you would care to change your mind? Kage

malika... What we really need is concrete discussion about the nature of criminal organisations in the Anargo sector, how they relate to the official organisations of the adeptus terra and the Imperial Commanders (the corrupt system argument), and so on. We need someone to take an approach to these in general. If you wish to discuss a specific organisation... Well... Okay, I'll leave this here for now in the hopes that someone will reply. Kage

Well...I will need a name for the group, some Order or something, they just pay of the local government so they wont do anything to stop them...maybe the leaders of the organisation will be aristocratic, but only the very high top, who hardly get in the picture.

Generally there is trade organization in hive sub-sector, run by the Alpha Legionary under guise. It has both legal and illegal operations, smuggling, wide net, etc... but they are Chaos, not mundane as Kage noted.

I like the idea of an Eldar Ranger pulling strings inside a crime empire in order to do....something.
He would shroud himself and speak only to those he's paid enough money to ensure loyalty; they would suspect he was ...odd...but say nothing for fear of being sacked/shot.

Yes, a fascinating concept. Perhaps it would be good to create the criminal organisation as much as possible given the current state of the ASP? Kage

hmm Im not very pro about the idea of the ranger pulling the strings, I imagine them more as assassins for hire

<grin> I can quite readily see such an organisation as being part of the machinations of the Clan of the Spider, with one following the Path of the Outcast (Ranger) taking this into the outer universe... With that said, however, may I make a request malika? If you're keen on developing a single criminal organisation which would act as a setting for future 'fluff' (story) submission, then perhaps you could begin to post some more concrete suggestions for it? It would also be good to see your responses move beyond the single- or double-line posts that we have seen thus far. You seem to have some interesting ideas, so let us know what they are! Kage
