As the subsectors are growing in size, I'm increasingly worried about stereotyping the worlds in each subsector. I.e. all worlds in the Proteus subsector have a heavy AM presence, but very little Ministorum presence, with the opposite being the case in the Dorvastor subsector, and then the Castellan sector being ridiculously military, etc.
Are we sure we want to create such clear differences between the subsectors? Should we perhaps look at trying to balance such things out, by having extremely religious cults on one or two worlds in Proteus, or a factory world with heavy AM presence in the Dorvastor subsector?

I am actualy trying to avoid the Dorvastor ub becoming completley cult madness, but I see what you're talking about.
The Imperial organisations I can see spliting their worlds along these lines, but I think that if we get the numbers of planets going at any sort of level then we'll need to start on that.

I want to create a fuedal world in the Hive Subsector...
Very primitive, but very militairistic, supplying troops to the other sectors...
Low tech, they are being armed by some other world (a deal with the AM) and send troops to fight for the Imperium.

I would say that each sub-sector capital has something akin to area of influence, where all other systems get more than an average share of sub flavour (i.e. more Mechanicus outposts around the capital, etc) but of course, the most interesting world could be the opposite, i.e. Ministorum fanatics in Mechanicus sub...

The subsector 'flavour' was only there to describe the 'important world' in the subsector, not to restrict trhe concepts of worlds. Indeed, my change of the names from "forgeworld subsector" to Proteus might have been a mistake since, ultimately, that world is more than likely not going to be the subsector capital... Erm, I digress... zholud's comments have some considerable merit. The influence of the 'flavour world' will extend and effect the worlds around it, but it will not determine their type. The original purpose was to prevent people putting a hiveworld, forgeworld, civilised world and agriworld in every subsector... Kage[
