Something that springed to mind while designing my world, does the Imperium have a common currency or do they use their different local currencies with the Administratum partially establishing the rates and some being fixed on a free markets?
Thoughts, comments...

Unfortunately, this is one of the important questions we have not been able to answer, though we have actually discussed it before. I'm unable to find the thread though. Maybe it was on Portent. Anyway, what we realized is that we couldn't think of a good material to be used as a common currency. We thought of gold, various crystals, etc, but couldn't really think of anything. After all, if you use brass coins, there are a lot of people in the Imperium with the resources to make counterfeit ones. I think Kage temporarily operates with Imperial denarii though, until we have tackled this problem. Perhaps now would be a good time Personally, I really have no idea. My understanding of economy is really basic, so at best, I'll understand what you guys are talking about, without being able to contribute myself

Look up threads, there was a discussion on it. We ended up at one true Imperium currency in Dinarii, Iperials, etc and also local currency (-ies) for a planet.
