A quick reminder; At the end of the month I will be deleting all members who have not been sufficiently active since they first joined the forum, to remove 'ghosts' who were never really that interested. If you have any questions, check out the Introduction and Announcement forum, where there is a more detailed explanation.
Take care.
PS: This thread will self-destruct in a few days.

Delete this as well when you do, would it not be better to perhaps PM new members with this info, as they might not see it if its posted on the boards

Quite frankly, I can't be bothered. Not only do I clearly warn new members about this in the Introduction forum, but I've also made this warning in the General forum. Second of all, if people still want to post after they've been deleted, they're welcome to try again. Of course, I won't stop anyone else from PMing the new members, if they feel that it should be done

Why not add this post to the ‘introductions and announcements’ forum?
Then no one has any reason to complain if their account gets deleted, because they are forewarned from the very beginning! ;D

It already is in there somewhere rule 10 I think, but either way, I don't mind PMing new members so... but only from today, I can't be bothered to look through them all to see how long people have been here

My dear Philip, they are already warned in the Introduction and Announcement forum. If they're clever enough to read the sticky thread marked 'Welcome', they should be alright Welcome back by the way!

So it is! Rule 10 no less, I missed it since it was added after I joined . At the moment I’m only half back; I still pop in now and again to read threads, but my work load is just plain silly at the moment and I’m more than a little absorbed, having great fun though ;D. When things get sane again, I’ll start posting my new stuff (I haven’t forgotten about the STC! C-Blocks roughs are done…). Have fun!

The thing about the project is that with the exception of the Primary Project Leader board and the Eldar Sourcebook (the latter inappropriately given that nothing is really going on there at the moment!) all of the boards can be read by anyone. The theory goes that if you're not interested in contributing, then you don't have to register. On the other hand, if all you want to do is to make one or two comments, you can do so as a guest. Once again there is no real need to register...
There are many reasons that you can be dragged away. Real life is always a problem. But if your account is deleted then you can always sign back up again. You would most likely have lost only a few posts to your 'rank' if that is actually important to you.
If you're a member of the forum worried about being purged, just make your presence known again. Contribute to the threads. If you don't want to contribute and just wish to lurk, then you can do that anyway!
