Got my Forgeworld models from jolly old England today. Not one, not two, but three Vulture Gunships to join the infamous Altarran 8th Sky Pirates. Pictures soon, as the digital is currently in use by another family member.

I sold my entire steel legion army to pay for them. Plus, I'm painting fences in my spare time to get additional funds. Spare no expense.

Since I don't know what you're talking about, perhaps you could post a link to a website which has current images of these miniatures on them!?

Actually more, because I purchased extra rocket pods and hunter-killer missiles. Final Price was somewhere around 228 pounds, or over $400 in real money. And I ain't rich, just eglectic. -Dino

Hmmn... pretty. My next question would be: How does it fly!? But not something that congent at this point. <sigh> Reminds me that I really would love to get back into painting but only have a limited supply of miniatures. And I really don't want to go around giving GW money when I don't think that they deserve it! Okay, okay, for some of the miniatures they do... ooh... pretty. (I am reminded at this point of A Bug's Life and an incapability of staying away from the bright light... )

Now, now, Kage. It's an awesome model. Don't spoil everything with your critical questions and sense of realism (The Vulture is supposed to have VTOL though... somehow) I know exactly how you feel though, Kage. The Inquisitor models are looking far too cool, in my opinion. You've already seen the awesome Eldar ranger, but check out the new Vindicare assassin for Inquisitor...!! www.sphaerentor.com/wh40k/index.php?file=archiv.php&id=1020Aaaargh! Too... pretty...

Hey, you leave the sense of 'realism' alone. I tend to think of it more in tersm of versimilitude anyway... And, yes, that model is pretty as well.

Okay team. Here are some pictures of my Vultures. The flight on my workstation. Note the Anargo Sector Project material decorating the upper left wall. A close-up of the cockpit, er, where the cockpit will go. And the weapons options I will have to provide the 8th with some serious air support! -Dinoman

Awesome stuff, Zid. You'd better put some time into painting those. How will you paint them, by the way? And will you put them on big flyer bases or will they just hop around on the table?

Please tell me that the grey paint-job isn't the finished article... Please? Nice flight, though. Envious. I'd prefer Valkyries, though ;D

The color scheme will be bleached bone body and wings, the engine and landing gear will be boltgun metal, the cockpit gear and weapons pods will be snakebite leather with chainmail details. Not sure if I'll use the pinkish color to give it a camo scheme or just keep the bleached bone.
I have bases for the models. A 5" wood base with a threaded rod. I drilled a large whole in the bottom of the Vulture and the base, inserted a threaded receiver for the rod, and screwed both receivers down. Very sturdy. I'll use magnetic tape on the hardpoints to switch weapons options.
I thought about Valkyries, but then again my troops are Light Infantry, so they can't take transports. I might get a Valkyire to give my Hardened Veterans squad a ride though.

I'm actually slightly more impressed that ASP temporary maps are right next to the EoT poster... and then depressed at the same time, remembering that these are only temporary images and we need a way of getting some more pretty images!
