I'm intrigued. I've heard mention of them a number of times, i.e. people who are painting or collecting armies that are representative of Guard or PDF elements in the Anargo sector, but does anyone have anything concrete? A picture that we can post or whatever? Just a quick thought while talking to heretic about anothr potntial article in Portent's Oracle, a relationship that I think it would be in our advantage to cultivate! Kage

I could take pictures of my Alpha Legion army if I had a digital camera, which could be used to represent the Chaos forces in the Anargo Sector. But Im a very poor student right now, so I cant afford a digital camera

I've soon finished my first squad of the Guardsmen from Archaios. I've also got a Frost Bringer battle barge, and I'll try to finish my three FB strike cruisers today. Oh, and I'm also working on some ships for Battlefleet Anargo, a battleship, some cruisers and some escort ships.

Are there pictures of a precise colourscheme for the Frost Bringers? I might repaint my Alpha Legionaires "in disguize" as them instead of Imperial Fists and Ultramarines...
Or a champion on a pile of Frost Bringers ;D

We're still not sure about the colour schemes of the Frost Bringers. Destecado wanted to try painting a few models a while ago, so we're kind of waiting for that.
The Frost Bringer ships will be a dark grey, with a gold trim. The badge shields are painted white, but I don't know what colours the badges themselves will be painted. Probably blue.

I'm sorry haven't had a chance to finish them up yet. A family crisis has eating up most of my free time. It's actually nice to come to work so that I can get away from it. I promise to make time to get them done within the next one and a half to two weeks. I can't promise them any sooner than that.

On a personal note, how easy is it to convert current Marine PA models so that they don't look so... Marine-y? Or does anyone have any residual carapace armour models from the RT days? Just wondering since I'm rather fond of the idea of the elite Anargan guard having access to lower-tech version of PA... Kage

Stormtrooper carapace, possibly.
There are two designs going around, Bedford-pattern stormtroopers (released with the old codex) and Cadian-pattern A.K.A Kasrkin.

Well, it's not strictly carapace armour (my equivalent would be combat infantry armour) but rather a powered equivalent. Just thought that mention of it would give a different 'form' to work from than the standard Mk VII/VIII (or whatever) armour. Lesser technology than that employed in the adeptus astartes model PA, perhaps equivalent in some regards to the older pattern PAs, but definitely a powered version. Remembering, of course, that the concept derives out of the 'fluff' and is representative of the limits imposed by wargame army lists. If it's not possible, then fine... I was just interested. I'll have to see if I can coax one of the artists back to draw some images... Kage

What about using parts from WFB knights? Brettonians, Empire and Chaos knights might work?

Actually, that's quite an interesting possibility. They'd have to be modified and not painted in the standard silver/chainmail colouration... But it would lend itself to the typical gothic/ornate nature of the universe and make it obvious that there is a significant difference between it and other PA system. Darned interesting thought, that. Kage

I promise to make time to get them done within the next one and a half to two weeks. I can't promise them any sooner than that. No worries. There are many other things that need doing! Good luck with the family crisis.. The Emperor protects Kage, Bretonnians are great when combined with Cadian plastics. Especially the Men at arms (the armed peasants), but then you were specifically looking for PA...

Perhaps the Chaos Warrior models? Take off the chaosy things, perhaps some Cadian parts or Catachan and you're there...

I'm not going to be putting any more money into GW coffers then, one could argue, I'm already doing by supporting their universe! If someone had a pretty miniature and was prepared to paint/convert it as a verson of PA, now that would be quite interesting... Of course, I'd setting for an artists rendition since you can have more fun with those!
