Just posting to say 'hi', I'm here and really interested in this stuff.
The reason is that a few years back I wrote an over 10,000 words story. It had started as 'fluff for a new Space Marine chapter, but ended up more of a sector history spanning more than 3 millennia....
Although the army was never built, the story still lingers in my old HD, and in it I hope I can find lots of ideas to adapt to this project.
But before that can happen, I need to start reading what has been achieved so far. I'm a little lost with the amount of information here, so can someone help on getting started? Were should I start reading from first? What are the basic rules for submitting material? And do I freely submit stuff (not that it will be coming soon, mind you) anywhere, or do I get assigned on a specific sub-sector?
Regards, Formion, Creator of "I"

Well, first off I'ld like to thank you for posting at such a time that I could actually get in the first welcome... In fact, I'm going to post this and then edit it just in case someone is going to post before me! Then I would like to say welcome! Where should you start... Well, first off you need to download the "Guide". The link can be found in this forum, but don't read it straight away. Skim through the various threads and just get a general 'sense' of what is going on. Think of some concepts, contribute to the ideas being kicked around... Then think on how your own concepts can inter-relate with these and post away... Do you have a specific interest in world-building? Then maybe one of the subsectors catches your fancy? The war-torn Castellan? The densely populated Meksum? Dorvastor, the location of the shrineworld? The archaic centre of power that is Anargo. We're discussing some of the 'larger' concepts in the "Meta" thread, things that can impact on the whole sector (though we tend to blur into the "Imperium" board as well) and even the Imperium... As for submitting material, just post your concepts on the appropriate board. If it's a world, post it in the subsector of your choice. Best to post a concept first so that it can be discussed, but that's where you post... If you're posting anything specific to a race, then post in the appropriate 'race' forum. It's all quite simple, but if you have any questions then just post them either here or on World Building if it involves questions about the Guide. Anyway, I look forward to seeing your posts... Kage

Hey Formion, welcome to the Project! Wow, 10,000 words? Sounds like you'll fit in just fine! We need people who have your kind of stamina! I hope we can help you find ways to adapt your ideas into this project, but bear in mind that the sector has already begun taking shape, so we will probably have difficulties incoorporating all your ideas. As long as you have the patience to keep making suggestions though, you're very welcome!! Btw, please note that Kage happened to forget the Proteus subsector, the home of the Titan Legio Lancea among other things Oh, and another thing Kage didn't mention is that if you have a concept for a world, but you're not sure which subsector it would be right for, you can post it in the World -building forum. Note that each subsector forum should have a thread which contains data and concepts for each of its mainworlds, so that might be helpful in finding a spot. See you around!
