That was actually the sort of thing I was thinking of for the Dorvastor chaps, only with the addition of gas masks...
It is my intention to have a Preceptory of Sororitas Bloody Rose present on Dorvastor. Exactly how many are in a preceptory will hopefuly be answered when I get Witch Hunters, but it is, I bleive, no more than a few hundred.

A Preceptory is the largest level of organisation below an Order (akin to a regiment or battalion), a Commandery is a subdivision of that, basically a company, and a Mission is the equivilent of a task group- a small force put together to accomplish a specific objective (ie, your 40k army).

I was assuming that a Commandery was the bigger one. It just sounds more... more. Fair enough, though.
Where was this, by the way?

Can there be more than one soritas order in a sub sector, and would sororitas guard shrines on shrine worlds or is that a little beneath them.

The Ecclessiarchy only controls the Sisters of Battle. They lost their Templars after the Age of Apostasy. They also have something called 'Frateris Militia', but the name suggests that these are mostly used in defensive actions. According to Games Workshop the Frateris Militia is an 'unofficial army', which suggests that they are not directly supported by the Imperium. Some fluff also links the Frateris Militia to the Missionaries of the Ecclessiarchy, as a type of security force. At any rate, it is safe to say that the Frateris Militia has little in common with the elite Imperial Guard. The Sisters of Battle can indeed be found guarding shrines. In fact, many Sisters of Battle died in the third war for Armageddon, defending shrines from the ork attackers. They are usually deployed in extremely small numbers though. We talked about this before, and I think we agreed that there would be only hundreds of Sisters of Battle in the entire Anargo sector. They usually work as honour guards, not regular infantry.

They would appear to be your standard peasant with pitchforks and burning brands.
And a force of hundreds eqates with a commandery and not a subsidary convent. Ok. I only ask as I may be the one that has to sumerise and collate info for the move.
How about a preceptory of a non militant order, maybe Dialogous. I'm thinking about something specific but I shall save it for now, at least until everything gets moved.
