So i am just asking for the opinions of the generous posters of the forum for my concept:
Having our sector an Ordo Xenos RESEARCH Base.
Guarded by Ordo Xenos IG and one Inq.(No deathwatch)
The concept is this:
-Its a secret base oparated by Ordo Xenos(Secret to locals and one without proper clearence) -Its working on understanding the alien technologies and fighting against them(Mainly this). -Its not an assault base or support base
I know that the Mars is working on Alien Techs but the ones who are dealing w/Aliens are Ordo Xenos so this base is field testing the Alien machinery(Learining their powers against Imperial machinery).

Well the system i was doing has a Small Gas Giant with an orbiting satelite which has a small population (Tens of people) with a high law level
So something such as a Small Research base would not be unfeasable
But ofcourse i am just a lowly person it would be more upto the likes of Kage and zhould to decide such a thing.

Sounds good to me, Femerenden. You might want to reconsider the name though Why is it a secret base though? Obviously, the Inquisition could have a non-secret base anywhere they wanted, without people asking questions. It's not like the local police can show up with a search warrant or anything. The only reason for the Inquisition to keep a base secret, I guess, is to keep it secret from other Inquisitors. I'm not saying that the Inquisition would decorate the base with welcome signs and neon lights. I just don't think it's necessary to put this research base in the depths of space, for example. It could be within an Imperial system. What kind of Alien tech specifically then? Ork? Eldar? Kroot? Or some of the local races? Oh, and Lordof- I haven't seen the system you're talking about. Have you posted your ideas yet?

Also note that if this 'secret base' is done then it would also have a significant presence of the more radical philosophies of the adeptus mechanicus. You might want to take a peak at the Proteus subsector and CELS' ideas on philosophies, factions and his own little invention, the paradigm... I'm also intrigued, as CELS, whether you have any specific ideas about the technology being studied. Whether there is a specific agenda. And, again, I echo the sentiment that the Inquisition doesn't really need a secret base. But there was mention of such a thing on other threads in Portent (when we were there) so it might be interesting to move ahead with the concept... Kage

LoL! Good thing someone remembers all the stuff I've written. I'm starting to forget myself Let's see... radical Xenos research? First, there's the radicals of the Magi Biologis, who would tend to experiment on any aliens they could get their hands on, especially orks in this sector, I suppose. What's there to study? Well, the Orks are quite amazing creations, actually, what with their unbelievable toughness, and their mysterious mekboyz, mad boyz, etc. Then there's experimenting on Kroot or Hrud, should they have made it this far. Any local race that has been in conflict with the Imperium would be present in the research station... And though Kage will hate me for this, there's the possibility of an Eldar Ranger being discovered by a radical Tech priest or Inquisitor, and captured alive... Then there's the matter of Xenos technology. The Ad Mech would be thrilled to get their hands on an Ork teleporta, shokk attack gun or one of the Ork forcefields, that much goes without saying. Eldar wraithbone would be most interesting for the Ad Mech, and I can see a lot of experimenting on this. From Abnett's Ravenor, the idea of wraithbone falling into human hands is not unthinkable. This would also give us a chance to do a lot of biased reports on wraithbone, which could be interesting. Does any of this sound good to you? If it does, keep in mind that this kind of operation would probably have full support of the Ad Mech and Inquisition, and would not warrant secrecy. If you want a secret base for the Ad Mech or Inquisition, you'd have to be waay radical, such using gene-engineering to cross-breed orks and humans, or turning ork specimens into mind-slaves for human psykers to be used for gathering intelligence, or cross-breeding human pariahs and eldar.... I'm not sure any of this would work, but you get my point. A secret Inquisition base could also be connected with warp experiments, or experimenting on xeno psykers, etc. I originally suggested a secret Inquisition fortress on Portent. As the book Ravenor shows, even Inquisitors are vulnerable to psykers going through their business. These could be psykers from other Imperial organisations, other Inquisitors, or even rogue psykers. Building a secret fortress gives you some privacy, and it also lets you tinker around with dangerous things with minimal risk of contamination. Besides, the idea of a sinister, black fortress of the Inquisition, unknown to the rest of the Imperium, is too cool to pass up ;D

Why secret? Answer is clear; they are researching and field testing Alien weapons of all kind and will you think that an Inquisitor yelling after the field tests of a Tau Railgun: "That weapon is awesome!" he will be shot in .25 seconds by anyone hears this. This is heresy and heresy is unforgiven(Yeah yeah we are 10,000 years a far from the heresy this is the unfogiving[We even cannot punish them ]) So it its secret to the localized persons and whomever who does not have a high clearence. So may be the Chapter Master of the Frost Wraiths will know it(We are working in his ground). So here is the list of operative in the base: 3 =][=(One is a Lord) 2 Regimenst of Ordo Xenos IG 5 Deathwatch(I think we have to have at least a small squad. You have to be sure there is someone reliable to kill out an alien if it gets out of control) Marines Chapters: -Ultramarines(Captain) -Black Templars -Space Wolfs -Silver Skulls -Mortificators The bases operations are updated: -Research on Alien weaponry and artefacts(E.g. Warp Portals) -Research on Alien fighting tactics(Monitoring battles in Ork tribes present in sector to gather information on future assaults and to stop them before it emerges[As the sector is wounded from one]) -Reasearch on Alien anatomy and physical properties, their body and metabolismic limits(E.g. how fast and far they can run). -Training of Ordo Xenos Stormtroopers and IG. Note: The base will not be secret; if it is not entering its orbit without proper clearence or permission will be decided an aggression against Imperium(Some cases such as emergency Landing is out of this). Nnote: There will always be a 5 man Deathwatch team defending the research base against the test subjects(Current ones are listed as Orks, Eldars, Tyranids, Xz-134BAC458[See Inquisitorial sub-file OCB-15688]) Comments wellcome...

Why secret? Answer is clear; they are researching and field testing Alien weapons of all kind and will you think that an Inquisitor yelling after the field tests of a Tau Railgun: "That weapon is awesome!" he will be shot in .25 seconds by anyone hears this. Just like any Inquisitors wielding shuriken pistols or jokaero digi-weapons are shot in .25 seconds...? No, they're not, are they? So it its secret to the localized persons and whomever who does not have a high clearence. So may be the Chapter Master of the Frost Wraiths will know it(We are working in his ground). The Chapter Master of the Frost Wraiths does not own the sector. He has limited authority in the Anargo sector, especially over the Inquisition and Adeptus Mechanicus. So here is the list of operative in the base: 3 =][=(One is a Lord) 2 Regimenst of Ordo Xenos IG The exact number of operatives is not very important, at this stage. First we need to find out what kind of base we want. Also, I fail to see the need for several thousand soldiers in this installation, if it's only used for research. 5 Deathwatch(I think we have to have at least a small squad. You have to be sure there is someone reliable to kill out an alien if it gets out of control) You do not need Space Marines to kill aliens. The Adeptus Astartes are very precious indeed, and especially the Deathwatch! And yes, I know that you said only 5, but there are probably 10,000 sectors in the Imperium. The Imperium does not have 50,000 Deathwatch Space Marines to be used as baby-sitters for aliens. -Research on Alien fighting tactics(Monitoring battles in Ork tribes present in sector to gather information on future assaults and to stop them before it emerges[As the sector is wounded from one]) This doesn't really sound like something you'd do in a lone base far away from civilisation. This sounds like something a military council or intelligence department would do, with the aid of Imperial Guard staff, Navy staff and more, probably on the Academy world or maybe Anargo itself. -Reasearch on Alien anatomy and physical properties, their body and metabolismic limits(E.g. how fast and far they can run). Finding out how fast and far an alien can run only takes so much time.... -Training of Ordo Xenos Stormtroopers and IG. Why do you think they should be trained on this base, and why would the Imperial Guard be involved? Note: The base will not be secret; if it is not entering its orbit without proper clearence or permission will be decided an aggression against Imperium(Some cases such as emergency Landing is out of this). Ok, you just wrote that it was secret, but I'm glad you changed your mind

This is heresy and heresy is unforgiven(Yeah yeah we are 10,000 years a far from the heresy this is the unfogiving[We even cannot punish them ]) He cannot be executed by anyone except fellow inquisitor, so this is not the problem. I suggest some separation – main inquisition headquarters on the capital planet, with paperwork and resources, while local inquisitor’s (not inquisition) fortress are going to do local research. 2 Regimenst of Ordo Xenos IG Better add researchers instead of another bunch of human meat… after all this is research station and civilians are simply do not allowed to enter. 5 Deathwatch(I think we have to have at least a small squad. You have to be sure there is someone reliable to kill out an alien if it gets out of control) Marines Chapters: -Ultramarines(Captain) -Black Templars -Space Wolfs -Silver Skulls -Mortificators I guess you’ve meant ‘Marines from Chapters’. And I think better come up with less known Chapters. And why we need it in research station. I doubt it. Nnote: There will always be a 5 man Deathwatch team defending the research base against the test subjects(Current ones are listed as Orks, Eldars, Tyranids, Xz-134BAC458[See Inquisitorial sub-file OCB-15688]) But those are most likely separated, locked in cells and bandaged in some style. No need in Deathwatch. Maybe just keep them for exploration expeditions with excess risk.

Who says it's kept secret from humans...? Eldar certainly don't take kindly to humans meddling with their technology, so if they knew it was there they'd blow it off the face of the planet(oid).

-What is the planet like? -Why the Inquisition is keeping this base secret? -Why they have this much military strength?
You will get all these questions answers right here right now.
The Ordo Xenos Research Base Hell.
Planet is called Hell because its only mere civilization is Xenos Base Hell.
-Planet Class = Death World -Atmosphere = Poisonuos gasses present at high altitude(Like Barbados but starting a little bit before). -Landscape = Mountains cover the %67 of landscape. Its know that the planet has atleast 23 active Volcanos. Tectonic movement is expected every week. -Locals = Carnivorious animals.(Very Dangerous ones and which can adept the planet) -Length of Day = 53,6 hours(Based on current Earth standarts) -Length of Month = 53 and 54 days respectatively -Length of Year = 18 months making up 963 days(Based on current Earth standarts) Average Temprature = 31(Max seen:51; Lowest seen:-43)
+++Ordo Xenos Research Base Hells Opperations+++
-Breeding Orks and using them as specimens -Research on Orkoid muscular tissiue proggres over battles. -Orkoid anatomy and physiology -Kroot DNA. -Eldar and Tau Weaponry, civilazation and technology.
+++Cannot Open 3 Documentary Due to Classification+++
Classified Documents are =
1-) The facility is breeding Tyranids for one of their experiments as specimens. They are producing gaunts mainly. 2-) The facility is breeding Orks for testing environmental changes on them. They are breeded in Imperial and Lab environment. Half of them sended to Battle test labs and half of them are kept for this research. Success of passification of Ork natures are currently %36. Succeeding specimens 2. 3-) The facility is building out an artificial hive mind to control the Tyranid invaison forces or fleets. Turn the against the enemies of the Imperium. This is why they are producing Tyranids. Field testing. Current # of tyranid specimens are 2393(%88 of them are gaunts). They out in the open surface of the planet.
The Research base are being kept secret from all of the universe and it is housing a decent army for the test going off boundaries.
The army is same as before.
Scientest personel is currently 3766.
Added some more and new opperaition possibilities to the base. It is still a concept planet and after it is concluded here it will be given life. Comments Welcome
Note: Ain't the humanity has to be same. Bully someone to do your job.

Sounds all very very radical..breeding aliens, does sound cool...could be a great scenario to watch that go out of control! ;D
But erm..breeding Nids? How does that work? Wouldnt the Nids try to contact the Hive Mind? How would you even breed them in the first place? Clone the same Gaunt for example?
What about hybrids? That the radical =][= tries to create a human/ork hybrid, so a strong suerhuman who would have the strenghts of both ork and man.
Or a small scale human Hive Mind, a human/gaunt hybrid? Trying to create something like that, and thereby attracting a Genestealer Cult...a small scenario perhaps

How does that work? Wouldnt the Nids try to contact the Hive Mind? How would you even breed them in the first place? Clone the same Gaunt for example? I don't know how the Nids breed but guessing they do it via eggs. I think that every species of Nids can lay eggs. If they cannot, then they can transfix the DNA w/somethink else(Jurassic Park anyone?). I cannot dicede as my only knowledge about tyranids is how to incinerate them with the EMPERORS SWIFT...(You got the idea;)) What about hybrids? That the radical =][= tries to create a human/ork hybrid, so a strong suerhuman who would have the strenghts of both ork and man. No. Never. Or a small scale human Hive Mind, a human/gaunt hybrid? Trying to create something like that, and thereby attracting a Genestealer Cult...a small scenario perhaps They have builded an operating Artificial Hive mind and operating it with the aid of Psykers. No hybrids will be ever made. I am against this idea as the Inquisition is trying to save and serve the humanity. And as he is an Ordo Xenos member he will purify the impure, kill the inhuman, disintegrate the alien(The last is the last step he is planing).

Keep the Tau and Kroot out, since they dont really show up in this part of the Imperium, the Kroot might, but Tau...that is a big no no Maybe some more Genestealer investigation. Did you ever watch Alien Resurrection? They try to breed aliens...maybe for medical reasons, trying to find specific anti-gens and all that against Nids. Or vaccins for the IG. And since this is a research facility which will also examine technology or biology, get some Adeptus Mechanicus in it as well perhaps?

Keep the Tau and Kroot out, since they dont really show up in this part of the Imperium, the Kroot might, but Tau...that is a big no no Maybe some more Genestealer investigation. Thats why they are investigating it. Lets make a brainstorm. We got two countries A and B. A develops a new weapon. B steals it and tests it at the neighbourhood of the A. And then A changes the systems in the stealed weapon. Result=B has gained a new weapon but still A has the upper hand Or B takes it and tests it alot far from A. A thinks that the weapon tech. is safe but when he tries to use it against B he sees that they know the ways to counter it. Why Tau? Because Imperium has no tolerance in loosing wars. As the Roboute Guilliman said "To admit defeat is to blaspheme against the Emperor". And they are Arming yet again for the Democles Gulf they should know the weaknesses of Tau and their allies...
