Would it be helpful if we as a Project had some sort of program which could be used to find systems conforming to certain criteria, anywhere in our sector?
I was just thinking because it would be useful for me to be able to search the entire UWP database to see if there is any planet which fits my fluff exactly.
Or have I got the wrong end of the stick and all the inhabitable planets are already named in the subsector threads?
In the former case, I think I can do this in Excel, or possibly a database program.

Well, for each subsector, there are many inhabitable planets. For the Meksum, Proteus, Anargo and the 'shrineworld' subsector, the inhabited planets have already been chosen. This idea might still be of some help though. Personally, I would gladly swap one of my own suggestions for inhabited worlds in the Proteus subsector for a better one, if someone offered.
If you can do this in a fairly quick and simple way, I say go for it!
What about a similar program for our website though? Would that be possible, or too much work?

That might well require either XML or Java, neither of which I can program. I think a download would be the only option, but it would take literally a few seconds.
Can someone get me the raw data?

The thing is... well... We don't need one. Or, rather, we already have one: Access. The entire Anargo sector, all 21,000+ systems with their associated mainworld UWPs are present within the Anargo Sector Database which both myself and Zoom have a copy of. It's around 5Mb so I tend not to send it around and, indeed, will not do so on request... The worlds that we are concerned with at the moment are those of the Imperium, which have been published separately for each subsector. If it is desired I can put up a document that lists all of the worlds within the subsector of the Imperium, if people think that woud be useful... Kage

I see, well, that was basically what I was asking.
Turns out, such a task is already done. So I am right in assuming that all the Imperial-occupied worlds are already listed in their various subsector threads?

Ah, in that case the answer would be yes. There could be other 'Imperial' worlds/systems out there, but at the moment there have been no concepts/submissions for such. (E.g. listening posts, way stations, etc.). Kage
