Well... that's cool. I know we originally said that we wanted mostly b/w artwork, but... that's cool... Perhaps colouring would be best for pictures with backgrounds though?

Thanks ;D
Yeah, I know black and white pictures would preferred in the 40k universe, but I only coloured it to try and see if I could.
Backgrounds eh? To be honest I stink at making backgrounds, but if I should make one.. got any ideas on what it should have in it?

Depends on the motif ;D
But for the latest picture... well, if he's a huge important guy, he's likely to be standing in the midst of a huge crowd, maybe with priests and those winged babies (cherubs) in the background. Maybe a huge mass or other religious gathering. I don't know what guy this is though. Been a while since I read about Dorvastor.

Thanks ;D Yeah, I know black and white pictures would preferred in the 40k universe, but I only coloured it to try and see if I could. Incidentally, I despise colour used in artwork, for the most part. But I liked that image so you're going to get no complaints on your ability to 'colour' from this end of the world. Since you seem to prefer character art, do you know of anyone else that would be interested in producing 'artwork by demand' or even 'artwork through inspiration' by what they read? At the moment that means reading through some threads, but I'm sure that people could provide some general criteria...? Ultimately it would be nice to get some artists back in on the project...

Hey, Darkizar. While those last pics were well done, they didn't quite look like orks... Especially the nose and ears. Here's a picture of an ork nose www.portent.net/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/793Later today, I'll try scanning some more pics and sending them to you Furthermore, what I'd really, really, really like to see, is a Brimstone Shaman, with a hood over his head and two slits for his eyes. Sort of Ku Klux Klan, only it wouldn't be white or pointy But wait till I send you some samples of orks!

Oh right! The nose, the nose. My bad, while I can't fix them (lazy) on those I have made, I'm gonna give your hooded orc a shot, don't expect much tho, infact, don't expect anything, easier that way.
By the way, you don't have to scan any pictures of noses, I got enough already ;D

Mali: The first link didn't work for me. I have never seen the other two pictures and deny and relation to them! . But really, the only image insperation for the dorvastors was a miniature linked in a dorvastor thread, black clothes, holding a bolter, hat, coat, don't know you if you can remember it.. But! I'm sorry that I haven't been drawing more but since I started in a new school (a drawing school!) time has been limited.. and since I don't know if you really want or need any of the drawings I make.. I don't know.. I might get some time later on.
