Ok, so this is my first thread on this message board, so please be gentle.
Ok, I created this here because it seemed the most appropriate place, to offer a race I would be willing to work on for the Anargo Sector Project.
The thread was also created to check if there wasn't already too many submitted races, etc. Anyway, here's a short overview of their back-story, I assure you, much more on culture, society, etc, will be written if they are found acceptable.
I'm thinking maybe a colony survived, somewhere within the Anargo Sector...? ;D

By all rights, the Viskeon race should be extinct. In 994.M41, a splinter of Hive Fleet Kraken, remnant of the Tyranid attack on the Imperial Hive World of Ichar IV, descended upon the alien races’ home world.
The Viskeons are a proud, martial race, whose warrior code did not permit the use of ranged weaponry. To face an opponent in battle, blade-to-blade, was the supreme honour one warrior could pay to another, to fight any other way was utterly inconceivable.
The sky darkened overhead as millions upon millions of mycetic spores hurtled through the atmosphere, disgorging their cargo of hideous, bio-engineered alien monstrosities. The Viskeons' home world died in a single night of horrific violence. Without ranged weaponry, the sheer number of rapacious alien predators swiftly overwhelmed the Viskeon warriors.
When the Hive Fleets moved on, the hot, dry world of impenetrable jungles and sweeping plains had been reduced to an airless ball of dead rock, stripped of every organic component to feed the Tyranids insatiable hunger.
With the exception of those who had been fighting on other worlds as mercenaries of other species, the race of Viskeons had been all but completely exterminated, another victim to the encroachment of the Great Devourer.
