What is Phased-Iron Page 84 of Deus Encarmine?

Who knows. I'm not aware if the term in modern physics, and it suggests something to do with the vibration of iron atoms in a solid.
Don't use it in any extended text, in any case. It is for all intents and purposes, garbage.

It all depends the context in which Phased-Iron was being used. It would help if you could post the rest of the sentence. If it is meant in the context that I think it is, then it may be refering to a composite material or a particular arrangement of a given material.
In terms of materials science and engineering, "phase" usually refers to the particular arrangement of atoms in a material. Example: the atoms in a piece of iron can form different arrangements, depending on its temperature, purity and how it is worked.
It can also refer to a composite material. Example: a fiber reinforced piece of plastic could be called a two-phase or two-component material, one "phase" is the fibers, and the other "phase" is the plastic into which the fibers are embedded.

Or it can even be a reference to a Phase Field Generation in operation on iron... A reference to the equivalent of bonded superdense armour, etc. As everyone else says, more information please.

It was a ‘phased-iron padlock’.

Now that is just too funny.

Now that is just too funny. Yeh, but possible tie in to Phase Field Theory?

Indeed an accurate point Phil... An ordinary padlock that has been phased out of this dimension so no one can pick it Maybe it has to do with the structure of Iron atoms, could it be made any denser???

Or maybe the actual structure down to the atomic level has changed and is locked (hmm) into a new pattern of energy. It’s iron, but it not as we know it.
