Ok....Black Libary released stuff on the 13th Black Crusade, Armageddon War and the Horus Heresy, but nothing on the Badab War, eventhough it is an interesting conflict because its this big thing in which Space Marines rebelled (most loyalist space marines remained loyal after the Horus Heresy).
I was thinking about creating something in the lines of a background work about the Badab War, characters, factions chapters, the whole thing. But perhaps that is a bit too ambitious!
What Im curious about it where exactly the Badab War took place and did more sections get involved, Perhaps the Anargo Sector as well, maybe not directly in war but having to send out material (troops, supplies, etc) And the effect that had on the Anargo Sector...perhaps this is something cool for the history of the Anargo Sector?

I was going to shout out you, malika, more so since I saw your "Badab War Project" on Portent. Integration is, however, an interesting possibility... First, however, you've got to determine whether it is reasonable that the Anargo Sector would have sent troops to the conflict (i.e. depending on the relative location of Badab to Anargo)...

I hardly have any information on the Badab War, except that the Red Corsairs were formed there and their leader is Huron Blackheart. And something that Space Marines rebelled to form their own empire. So if anyone has info on the Badab War...could you please post that here or PM that to me? Ps. Dont hate me for this Kage

I've got a few more things on my plate than worrying about you trying to get information about something you find fascinating. It would be nice if people took more interest in the disparate aspects of the 40k universe, including the various game representations, but alas it is a rare thing...

Okay nevermind...this isnt going to work since the current Anargo Sector date is 470.M41 and the Badab War doesnt start until 901.M41

That just means it would have to be incorporated at a later date...

The activities of the Badab War take place in the area surrounding the Maelstrom. While this is a long distance from the Anargo Sector, several of the chapters sent to protect shipping and fight against the traitor chapters came from the "galactic east"
Excerpt from Badab War Fluff
The Emperor recalled the Marines Errant from the Eastern Fringes, but they quickly found themselves fully occupied protecting Imperial ships in transit.
In 906 two more loyal Marine units, the Red Scorpions and the Minotaurs, had been brought in, and the threat to Imperial shipping was more or less quashed. In 907 the Red Scorpions and Fire Hawks were recalled to their normal service duties in the galactic east, and two more chapters, the Novamarines and Howling Griffons were committed to space-lane duties.
Meanwhile, the Star Phantoms began the task of besieging Badab whilst two other chapters were drafted in to investigate the worlds occupied by the Mantis Warriors and Executioners. The Lamenters were caught in an ambush by the Minotaurs in 908 and eventually surrendered after bloody ship-to-ship fighting.
The highlighted text references two unnamed chapters. It is possible that one of these could be elements of the Frost Bringers.

Later on more Chapters joined, the Salamanders being one of them.
Im not sure about the Frost Bringers joining in, but I can see Imperial Guard Regiments being send off to Badab to fight against the rebels.
As in moving the timeline we have for the Anargo Sector forward a few years?
Ps. Kage, why did you remove the link I made to the thread on Portent?

Yes, I removed it... And the timeline is going to be advanced... but not just to integrate your new project. Rather, it was always going to advance...

But why did you remove it? I mean on that thread is more information on the Badab War, so perhaps that would be helpful for this also.

Because...
Just because. If you wish to repost the information here then please do so. I'm afraid that I'm just not very impressed with Portent at the moment and so really didn't want parallel conversation going on there...
