The Anargo Secundus system, the M4V companion star to Anargo Primus, the capital system, is both the Anargo Fleet headquarters and the main production facilities for star/spaceships in the sector. While not a Forgeworld per se, the system rather acts as systems integration for those technologies produced on franchised civilised and factory worlds, as well as the two forgeworlds within the sector. It would also include those systems that are produced out of sector.
As listed in the "Anargo World Creation Example" document (see the link elsewhere), the statistics and broad concepts for this system can be found below:
Anargo Secundus 1(i) (Research Outpost)
0 – Gas Giant (Large)
Anargo Secundus 2 (Undeveloped)
1 – X605500-0 L0 R8
Anargo Secundus 3 (Barren)
2 – X200000-0 L0 R1
Anargo Secundus 4 (Limited Mining)
3 – Planetoid Belt
Anargo Secundus 5 (Mineral mining)
4 – Planetoid Belt
Anargo Secundus 6 (Shipyard)
5 – A8846AA-E L4 R9
Anargo Secundus 7 (Reserch Outpost)
5.5 – D5022AA-E LC R3
Anargo Secundus 8
6 – X4334AA-D L0 R3
Conceptual information can be found below...
Anargo Secundus (M4V)
The star is generally colder than Sol, with no inner or habitable zone, just the cold depths of space! Something that really springs out is the ‘captured planetoid’ in orbit 5.5 with the suggested population. Even if a bit cliched, I think I can do something with that!
Anargo Secundus 1 (Orbit 0)
A large gas giant with numerous small satellites, the majority of which are barren with limited resources. So for the most part I’ll ignore them.
Two obvious exceptions arise in the two outer satellites, both of which have a suggeted population and the furtherest one even has a trace atmosphere and some moderate resources (R5) as well as some singular-cellular lifeforms. I’ve been thinking about the adeptus mechanicus while creating the two systems, thinking that it would be useful to have ‘ship yards’ close to the capital system as another way of maintaining it’s economic position within the Anargo sector. But it’s also a cold system, so Anargo Secundus 1 with it’s strange life-form is going to be a small research outpost, looking into this lifeform and probably some other things as well.
Anargo Secundus 2 (Orbit 1)
Another high-resource planet with a suggested population which is otherwise ‘barren’ of life. I’m not keen on it but with the smaller world size and that resource value… I shall keep this as being exploitable in the future but, at present, nothing is happening on this world.
Anargo Secundus 3 (Orbit 2)
A small world with otherwise nothing really going for it but a suggested population. Given the rest of the details I’m uninspired and thus choose to change the population to 0. Another barren world.
Anargo Secundus 4 and 5 (Orbit 3 and 4)
The planetoid belts of the system which, as mentioned for the planetoid belt of Anargo Primus, is detailed in a later section of creation. I’m not sure that I’m going to get to a detailed creation of the ‘mainworld’ (likely Anargo Secundus 6) so I shall skip ahead and create the details for these two planetoid belts now.
Anargo Secundus 4 doesn’t look overtly interesting, though it is likely mined in a limited fashion. Perhaps just for water and light elements for fuel. Anargo Secundus 5 on the other hand, has a large average body diameter, a larger belt width and is primarily composed of nickel asteroids for valuable metals and radioactives. This is likely to be heavily mined.
Anargo Secundus 6 (Orbit 5)
Given the ‘proximity’ of the planet’s orbit to the two planetoid belts, and the valuable Anargo Secundus 5, I’m going to make this the ‘shipyard’ of Anargo Secundus. An adeptus mechanicus stronghold, though not in the same way as a Forgeworld. This means I’m going to have to change the statistics such as tech-level, but that doesn’t really matter. It will also have an ‘A’-class starport.
Although an ‘A’-class allows the construction of starships (interstellar spaceships!) I’m going to later work with the principle that warp drives are too valuable to produce outside of a Forgeworld, so instead go with the idea that this is one of the very few places that system integration can take place.
Also, the two moons might be intriguing locations for part of the orbital dock yards, as well as providing LaGrange points for other manufactories.
Anargo Secundus 7 (Orbit 5.5)
The captured planetoid. I said that I was going to do something rather cliched about this world, but another reason for the adeptus mechanicus presence here is for the captured planetoid, which contains the frozen remains of an alien civilisation.
Anargo Secundus 8 (Orbit 6)
Given the valuable nature of the economy, this planet is going to be another listening post as well as ‘outer defence point’ for the system defence fleet.
