"If brute force isn't working, you're not using enough of it"
Size Related Diameter = 21,983 km Mass = 1.34 Terra Gravity = 0.72 Terra Stellar Mass (G2V) = 1.004 Sol Orbital Distance = 1.0 AU Orbital Period = 41.916 years = 563 days Rotational Period = 56 hours, 51 minutes, 32 seconds (Long Days!) Satellite 1 orbits at 19,832k with a period of 3.092 days. Very close, maybe responsible for space traffic/docks? Satellite 2 orbits at 23,720km with a period of 6.654 days.
Atmosphere Related Atmospheric Composition = Standard, Tainted (Industrial Pollutants) Atmosphere Pressure = 4.32 Terra Greenhouse Effect = 0.70 (Human presence a big factor here) Base Temperature = 28.41 deg-C (301.41 deg-K)
Hydrosphere Related Hydrographic Percentage = 51% Hydrographic Composition = Liquid water (partial pollutant) Tectonic Plates = 2 Continents = Major: 12, Minor: 8, Major Islands: 15, Archipelagoes: 9 Volcanoes = 0 noteble
Natural Resources Agricultural (Hydroponics??Aqua-culture). Compounds, Crystals, Ores(Deep Bore mining/sea floor mining). Processed Resources Agroproducts, Metals, Non-metals (Small industrial bases) Manufactured Goods Consumables, Durables, Parts (Military hardware plus domestic products) Information Documents, Recordings, Software (Religious texts maybe?)
Weather Control = Yes (Interesting)
Population Related Total Population = 275,000,000,000
Very Large Hives 1x185,000,000,000 The principal city on Nyraddin, let's call it Nyradd for the sake of a name. What will be there. Principal offices of Adeptus Terra, Ecclesiarchy Site (Religious Government remember), Government Halls, Big Parade Fields (Military minded populace), Normal ammenities for cities like stadia, museums, parks etc, large universities, Schola Progenium (this could be offworld)
6x10,000,000,000 Secondary sprawl on separate continent. Maybe Landing fields or spaceport and trade centres
Large Hives 4x8,600,000,000 More Industrially based 3x7,000,000,000 Manufacture of weapon items
Medium-Large Hives 8x(950,000,000/Hive) Located worldwide, maybe some floating or oceanic Hives.
Small Hives 59x(250,000,000)
Unallocated 45,000,000,000 Everyone else, small coastal towns or mountain compounds of the rich
Orbital 'City' Home of the rich nobles or clergy maybe, a principal city for off world visitors for them to trade in, so a big docking complex perhaps?
Cultural Attitudes Progressiveness Conservative: Little change from it's former traditions Stagnant: Few new buildings etc only reconstruction
Agressiveness Competitive: Large number of sports (most likely lethal) with other planets, exerts authority over neighbours Militant: Large PDF, mass recruitings at frequent intervals, maybe crusades led by the religious leaders to the far flung reaches of the Imperium
Extensiveness Discordant: Resentment for Religious government, minor uprisings are common-place(Only to be met by the Royal Nyraddin Guard of the Silver Hand) Aloof: Offworlders commonly untrusted etc, segregated cities for traders
Local Customs Family: Marriage arranged by Bride and Groom (All social groups) Miscellaneous: Significance of flora (low social classes), perhaps agri-businesses make use of spare land to generate more foodstuffs, principally the poorer classes. I see agri tunnels etc., hydroponics underground are common-place
Government Type Religious Dictatorship of Several Councils: Each Hive has elected religious councils, which convene in the General Synod to discuss planetary policy (foundings of regiments etc?). Imperial Governor may be head or perhaps not part of council as he has more responsibility to the sector in general
Law Personal: (varies depending upon socio-economic status of individuals) Not anarchy, but social status can help when in the courts of Imperial Law.

Erm, I'm sorry... but there is contradictory information in those two posts. The most obvious, and first, that I saw was the gravity... Perhaps you could post more information with regards to the creation process? I must apologise, but I get the over-riding sense that you created many of the numbers... Kage

Kage, this is about as much crap as I can take... I have followed your Guide to the best I can... I got the numbers from your Guide... if there is 2 different bits of data on the same thing IE: Gravity, then use the second post if its there, otherwise, make the note here

Calm down, Shamus. Please remember that we are working to a common goal and that we are all working to the same guildelines. I merely noted that your two posts, above, contained discrepancies. This is what colleagues do. We post those things that we hope will enhance the contributions of others. Perhaps you could clarify how you went about the creation of these worlds. I'm sure that with that we would be able to see what you were trying to accomplish and how it interacts with the Guide and, therefore, the overt objectives of the ASP. Kage

see my reasonings for my shitty attitude in the "Malachor System" thread... - I print out the Guide... all 102 or 104 pages... - I take a few dice... 6 at most... - I go through all the pages, rolling when I need to - I write down the information I get from rolling etc. any other way to do it?

No, that's the way to do it... Which is why I'm confused that you get two different gravity values. That is one of the reasons that I asked for more information. That is all... Instead, I see abuse being thrown around. I am concerned with that, but you already know that. You will find that people are actually trying to help. To share our experiences with the process of the Guide rather than in criticising you. I've made numerous mistakes myself in going through the Guide. Again, we're here to help. So instead of shouting at us - at me - perhaps you could become involved in the discussion? One final thing that it would be useful for all[/b] members to remember: all worlds that are posted are merely submissions, to be accepted by common consensus or specific assignment (i.e. me). Kage

my last post wasnt posted out of sarcasm, anger, or anything neg. but rather just an answer... thats all.. and if the way I said I make the world isnt right.. then how am I supposed to do it? I was told that was the way on Portent... not the exact words, granted, but thats what I gathered... anywho... on to more happier moments ;D

The Guide offers a simple (relatively) step-by-step process to Extended System Generation and World Building. I've been tryinig to get an example system up and running, but time is restricted when you're doing a full-time job and a full-time PhD! There is, however, an example of the Extended System generation which is the first stage of world creation. You can find it here: Kage

yeah I somehow dont think this is part of it...

so I will just wait until someone gets theirs done, and I will see what I can do for my systems...

I've downloaded the file myself to check whether it works and, well, it does. You must have a problem with your reader (have you got the latest version from Adobe?), which is strange since you could pirint out the Guide. Perhaps try and download the example again, since it will show a good (ish) example of Extended System Generation in terms of the mechanics, but also a fair crack at showing how you might want to approach relating the information in the Guide to the 40k universe. I would suggest sending it to you, but since the file that I would send would be essentially the same as the one that you can download from Zoom's webspace, there really would be little point. Perhapos the file was corrupted in transfer somehow? Kage

I would suggest that we take the time to make sure that there are not glitches this time... perhaps you should ensure that you post your questions or problems to the World Building forum? Kage
