This is almost running along the borders of a world i thought of many years ago, its a drug world, where the entire(give or take) surface is dedicated to well drugs, medical, restorative, stimulants, hallucinagenics, tranquilisers, poisons, toxins also rare and exotic perfumes and oils, spices and incenses, rare and expensive beverages, both of earthly origin and xenos, i dont think drugs are actually illegal in the 41st millenium simply becaues the imperium doesn't care enough to make them so I see this as suppling the inquisition, milatary, officio assassinorum, the high and mighty, the low born whats your poison because it can all be found here and it would be the happiest place in the whole imperium I do envision hive like city sructure's sort of like necromunder but smaller, more exotic, though still shabby and crowded

At the same time I want to stress that it should not be fully unofficial/illegal planet, but a planet that produces legally such stuff. as to smugglers, they should be allowed I guess.

Oh for sure, medical drugs would be high on the list of exports, but the world i had in mind wouldn't fall under the term garden. As all the gardens would be under glass so to speak vast green house's that would be visable from space, the planet would be highly polluted and dreary due to the chemical refinement needed to produce and refine the drugs, which i'm afraid to say would not all be medicinal, and which drugs are illegal in the imperium by the way, maybe the really dangerous stuff the milatary plays around with but as to the rest i can't see the imperium having a problem with it

Would a world whose economy is based upon a viable biosphere really allow significant pollution of that biosphere? After all, that would negatively impact upon the ability to sustain production. Even if you had 'greenhouses', you're going to dramatically up the overheads when you translate from normal greenhouses to hermetically sealed ones. Up the pollution/smog to substantial levels and you lower base mean temperature and/or incident radiation (problems with photosynthesis now, and even the different types of photosynthesis don't allow you out of that trap; assuming you're not going to hand-wave and say that they don't use photosynthesis! )... No, seems best that it would be in essence an 'agricultural world'. The same kind of ideas that translate to 'tithes'/trade in food would presumably apply to the agricultural-industrial axis...

Not in the begining no i suppose not but if they wanted to increase outputs of certain chemicals then they might well simply adapt the growing conditions. Plants unlike people can sustain their own enviroments, these greenhouses are for plants only. And pehaps certain types of plant would require an exotic atmosphere any way so you would already have hermetically sealed ones. The loss of natural sunlight is no big deal at all as artificial sunlight light would be available, as well as certain plants needing low light or even subterranian conditions. These are the creme de la creme of harvested crops the value not only in terms of money but in vital resource would mean the imperium would quite happily give what ever was needed for sustained production Again these are plants they, are unlike people easy to grow and maintain requireing only a bit of love and care to flourish

Just seems an excessive way to go about doing things when one could naturally sustain the system rather than the use of artificial components. Furthermore, it allows for the economy to be compartmentalised and begin to specialise as a product of 'supply and demand' rather than merely imposing a concept and letting that dominate things...?

I know but i have my reasons, and the beginings of a new world concept it would appear. Many of these plants might not thrive as well in the native bio sphere so they would special growing conditions and these are the most lucrative type of product so more attention would be given to them wouldn't you agree. I could pollute the oceans though and leave the atmophere alone so you could still grow vast crops of native plants and others that might thrive i do have a few ideas about this. So if you like the idea of this type of world Kage and Zholud tell me and i'll go and have have a think on how to proceed with it

I would say that having a 'normal' agriworld with a sideline in pharmaceutical plants would be interesting... I'm not entirely keen on the idea of having a pharmaceutical industry on the world, however.

The pharmaceutical industry could already be on Quechit as it's main industry. About the illegal drugs: some medical products might be illegal on some worlds while on most other worlds they are normally legal. I could see something like that on a very religious shrine world where certain standard medicins are illegal because if you are sick "the Emperor wanted you to be sick" Stuff like that.

So if you like the idea of this type of world Kage and Zholud tell me and i'll go and have have a think on how to proceed with it Dazo, I fully support creation of new worlds but I’m sure that it is better to finish the ones you’ve already started. It is always better to make up 1 planet in full than sketches of 10 worlds. Look what CELS or Kage made with their worlds, with all the fluff… this worth the effort, I can assure you.

I know but you had said there was alot that i had written that you weren't happy with, so i've been waiting for the list you said you were going to give me of the things you wanted answered/ changed or explained better. And these were just a few ideas, i thought might be inspirering to someone else thats all now iv'e got you and kage picking on me for not finishing what i start and CELS for not being good at latin

Take the 'criticism' as constructive, i.e. how to modify your concept so that it would not only work in the 40k universe (easy enough to do), but also be plausible when you actually thought about it. GW really should listen to some of the earlier points from the Evil Overlord list, more particularly to run their concepts by a five year old so that they can pick out the flaws in it...

But what about other stuff... like a wraithbone necklace or a piece of Tau farm equipment (on agriworlds) or Hrud/Diemurg Mining Equipment. This all would of course relie on were the Sector is located... as I doubt the Tau have even been heard of outside of the Eastern Fringe except for once or twice at the highest levels of the Imperium.

I would more see stuff like skeletons of xenos as private possession as illegal xenos items. Or what about some Eldar pistol a Guardsman brought home after he retired. Stuff like that mostly perhaps

Xenos weapons are illegal to possess out side of the inquisition i think, also psycoreactive stuff like wraithbone would also be illegal
