Kage has been good enough to provide the UWP listings for the worlds outside of the Sargassos Subsector which fall within the bounds of the Sargasso Gulf.
In my discussions with Kage about the Worlds which fall within the boundaries of the Gulf, we touched on the subject of perhaps making a floating graveyard for those ships that were trapped within it. I think this might be the best place for the concept of a junkyard world to evolve.
The basic idea is that the currents that surround the gulf act to push ships towards it. Once inside the gulf, they become trapped. It is a becalmed area of warp space. the natural currents which would lead to planets are mear trickles. the best way to think of it would be to extend the warp zone...the area that a ship must navigate beyond within a solar system to jump safely....to an entire area of space.
Instead of being an actual world, Kage and had discussed the creation of something like an artificial moon as the ships formed together (acreted). I was thinking about using one of the suns with no planets as a possible place for this world to form. They might be attracted to the large gravity or some how else accumulate in one area of the Gulf.
Dazo has made the suggestion of having it form around the White Dwarf located at stellar coordinates 29,38,39.
Such a world would be a labrinth of corridors and hallways as survivors of a multitude of races try to eek out a living from the remains of the ships within the ship graveyard.
Another advantage to the White Dwarf is the fact that the junkyard world (Ship Graveyard) will also be obscured by the White Dwarf's Planetary Nebulae.
