Hmmm starcraft anyone Yes but they'll continue to breed, then they'll start making there own equipment, you only need a bit of iron and other base materials for primitive weapons. Thats pretty much the battle plan for Kolkhoz, with much the same in terms of terrain and deployment of barrage weapons. So thats cool. only one question really, err why you posting in my Kolkhoz thread about saylonia

I was mentioned here, so I decided to chip in. I was under the impression you didn't want to militarise Kolkhoz that heavily, so I was just popping in to point out that Saylonia can indeed bear the brunt.
Oh, and I've never played Starcraft. Is it from that game? If so, I'll think of something else.
As for the Orks, iron spears aren't really in the same league as looted battle tanks, are they? Arcturus doesn't have a whole lot for them to take; at the first word of invasion the population is evacuated to hunker down in the main cities and wait them out.

Sojourner - please move to the respective thread, or copy these posts there.
Sounds okay to me. All of the worlds in the sub, will essentially be one form of world (civilised or agri) that has been fortified. Massil is a good example of this. It was a civilised world in a sub with many agriworlds, it had developed as a centre of trade because it was the capital system. Most trade would have passed through the planet/system from the outlying worlds. It has now been heavily fortified in response to the ork threat.
I don't think that as of yet any systems in the sub will have been founded with the sole purpose of being fortress worlds.
Hmmm this is also similar to the modus operandi I had in mind for the defense of Massil.
All three planets, have large expanses of farmland etc. This does suggest a similar strategy for defense, I may start a new thread on the matter.
At the moment Dazo I would say no. They are not deployed defensively, rather kept ready for deployment. In our case this is on Proteus. By all means come up with facilities for landing the monsters (probably have an AdMech run starport?); I think CELS once mentioned a battle fought by Titans against orks on Massil at a fictional location called Black Falls. There is no reason they cannot be deployed in battle on the worlds but not permenant feature.

Oh ok then, but it doesn't really have to stand alone, I always wanted to militarise Kolkhoz, Seleca was the agri world that i wasn't allowed to militarise. And as the number of fortress worlds is so low I am thinking of making this world a fortress world. It doesnt really hamper my idea for kolkhoz, so why not. Yep fraid so, I must say though I myself have been caught out with using names from that game, its not our fault they nicked all the good ones No but you can make tanks out of iron, which is what I was getting at, orks are peskily inventive.
