I would at this point ask posters to create something that could, if you wanted, be created into an entire sector! Not just something that is based around the concept of one world... There is a reason for this, but don't worry too much about it for the moment! Kage

For reference, Kage, there's more than Kaltore. Alterak used to be a star system that had everything from a Necron tomb world to an Eldar maiden world, to an Orkoid death world, an Adeptus Mechanicus forgeworld with an odd history of studies in xenos technology, a Space Marine chapter, and a long history of chaos/genestealer purges as well as pseudo-Marxist uprisings on numerous mining worlds (which is why I finally decided to scale it up anyways...there's just too much going on!). As the Alterak Sector is merely a scaled-up version of this (thus largely uncharted beyond the aforementioned stuff) and my ability to summarize is woefully lacking, I thought I'd just point out the original concept and get along with things. Admittedly, that is a problem, but I'm working on expanding Kaltorian Legion/Kaltorian Guard background and a "history" and other aspects of the sector are a top priority for that. ;D EDIT: And for future reference (if anyone reads back over this!), I've made a webpage here. Does the info there mesh up with the summary (ignoring the subtitles that aren't filled, of course) and other information?

I was just making a generic statement to make people aware that a sector should be more than just based around a specific world concept... ...With that said, that's a heck of a lot to be going on in one system... Kage

Just because we're inventing new sectors that will border on Anargo doesn't mean these sectors don't have to follow the same guidelines as the Anargo sector. It's still the Anargo sector project, so there are considerations that need to be made.
For example; we estimate that there are about 1000 Space Marine chapters in the Imperium and 1000 Forgeworlds. We also estimate that the Imperium consists of roughly 10,000 sectors. That means there will be roughly 1 Space Marine Chapter and 1 Forgeworld for each 10 Imperial sectors. The Anargo sector and its neighbouring sectors number 27 sectors all told. That means there will be 2,7 Space Marine Chapters and 2,7 Forgeworlds in this region.
So far, we have the Frost Bringers Chapter (Anargo), the Sons of Cataclysm Chapter (Lazarus) and the Kaltorian Legion Chapter (Alterak) in this region. We also have the forgeworld Proteus (Anargo), a second forgeworld also in Anargo, the forgeworld Ytha (Revocatus) and the forgeworld Vaul (Alterak).
This means we should be fresh out of Space Marine chapters and forgeworlds. Of course, that doesn't mean that there can be other Space Marine chapters visiting for wars, crusades and quests, as has been stated otherwise. However, it does mean that no more sectors should be the homes of the Space Marine chapters or AM Forgeworlds, if we are to follow statistics.

Remember, though, that the 3E wargame book determines that there should be 1 forgeworld per subsector!? Of course, I just don't think that the writers had seen the adeptus mechanicus 'fluff' on forgeworlds when they wrote that... But anyway... Kage

This means we should be fresh out of Space Marine chapters and forgeworlds. Well like I said, if you have concerns and methods of solution/suggestions, I'd not be averse to hearing them out. The Alterak Sector's primary reason for existance was originally to fuel the Kaltorian Legion's background, though, so making them move could be problematic. You could always replace the Alterak Sector with something else if it's really bothering you that much! After all, Alterak's not really contributing anything to Anargo and I almost feel a little selfish because I've contributed so little to the ASP so far.... ;D

Don't be so touchy, friend! I wasn't saying that to you specifically. I'm just pointing out that with the Kaltorian Legion and my own Sons of Cataclysm, we've used up our quota So we're keeping the Alterak sector as it is. This just means we need to be more inventive in the future when we flesh out the rest of the sectors, since they shouldn't have SM chapters or forgeworlds. I wish you'd rename the forgeworld though, since the name Vaul is a pretty important name in 40k fluff, being one of the Eldar Gods, IIRC.

It was a holdover from a cheap attempt at making it into a cute legend...but...done and done. And yes, I know you guys aren't targetting me, but my sense of scale in 40k has been going through pitfalls since I've come to this project (as no doubt is its intent, eh?) and I'm lashing out in a typically overprotective manner.... *tries to find another thread to be productive in*

;D The Redoran sector, a fairly stable sector comprising of 4 main worlds, Redora, a relatively prosperous hive world which process’s the adamantium recieved from Bartask and ships food from seleca to the other worlds in the sector, most especially Bartask SelecaIII a large agri world consisting of several temperate continents surrounded by a shallow sea the abundance of its produce helps maintain Redora's wealth Toran is the base of the sectors navel yards are small but efficient and help maintain a sizable fleet presence Bartask, a desolate rock of a world was once a small mining colony, but the discovery of adamantium deposits changed that overnight and now supports a sizable population clustered in hive cities and totally dependant on food shipped from redora The only other world worthy of note is the strange world of Abidos a dead world located deep within the black veil nebulae all explorator missions sent to this world have vanished and has been quarantined by order of the inquisition

shouldn't "Sector" be "system"?
Four planets seems awfully small for an entire sector...

Sorry to spoil your fun dazo, but all the sectors have been named, maybe you could adapt your idea to one of the other sectors that so far has no description!

Perhaps, Dazo, it would be better to start elsewhere within the Anargo Project, and leave the creation of new sectors to more experienced members. First of all, your suggested "sector" sounds more like a subsector, or even a system. Second of all, the sector descriptions should really have a concept going on, and preferably one that fits in with this region of the Imperium.
Though I realize that not all of the sectors so far pass these requirements, it's really what we should expect from now on, IMO.
But don't worry, Dazo, there's plenty of stuff to do in the project! ;D

Ok but to clarify, would those be the ones in yellow as posted by CELS If you go here, it would be the ones that have " ? ? ? " for a description. Anything from 30-100 in this region. In other regions in the Imperium, sectors may have even more or less Imperial worlds.

26. Silvanus Sector A sector mostly populated with dead or dying worlds. Curious ruins litter some of the planets surfaces. The Cult Mechanicus investigation teams has led to evidence of a old civilization (Necrons?) that did “something” that effected to whole sector. The fallout of this “something”, whatever it was, killed all biological life on the majority (80%ish) of the planets located herein. The most common traffic in this region are Rouge Traders looking for salvageable tech from the ruins. (uber rare, .00000001%) The Cult Mechanicus maintain an outpost like that of the ill-fated world of Tyran to continue studying the ruins. The only other major Imperial presence in the sector is on the Death/Desert world of Delero, Home base of one of the many Stormtrooper regiments thoughout the Galaxy. The home regiment is the Hounds of Delero. Unlike most other regiments, the Hounds are known to use Vehicles almost as much as a normal Imperial regiment of the same size due to the extremely hazardous climate on which the regiment is based upon.
