It's damn well going to be adjacent! I'm only interested in the adjacent sectors, to help map out the commerce in Anargo, as well as figure out where Anargo military resources could be heading (not everyone would be going for the Castellan sub), and where foreign military resources would be coming from, among other things.

Fair enough. ;D
Basicly, I needed a place where Dorvastorians coulb be fighting against humans in the 40th millennium, and I didn't want to be stepping on anyones' toes. The Navigator thing's on a whim, as I'd maybee like to do a Trade War at some point in the future.

As Destecado quite rightly points out in another thread (Alpha Legion thread, IIRC), there are still many worlds that have not been reconquered after the Age of Apostasy. In other words, there are many worlds that still follow Vandire's rules, and are ruled by priesthoods with unlimited power. At least that's what the fluff says. Would it be possible to come up with an explanation for a situation like that in an adjacent sector?

Unlikley, I would say. The Anargo sector is pretey well established in major Imperial space and, whilst in recent times the Orks have been a bit of a bother, it's not realy on the level that an AoA regime would be tolerated. What we COULD have is a sector where Vandirites held on for centuries, loosing their power in bitter wars and leaving a major branch of the old Ecclesiarchy splitting itself off from the new order and clinging on around the edges, rising up ocasionaly.

1) If you scroll up, Mr. Wiseguy, you shall see that I deemed it a bad idea to name all the sectors in contact with the Anargo sector, since I wanted to leave some options open. You never know what we might think of later LOL... Bugger. Well there is that. But a tapestry approach is in itself problematic. Name 'em all and get it over with. You can always leave some of the descriptions blank. 2) I understand that you don't want an Eldar craftworld in the Anargo sector, but there are craftworlds within the Imperium, Kage, and this one doesn't even reside there. It pops by every once in a while Nope. No it doesn't. Not only are you going to get on the wig of people who believe that craftworlds don't move (: but I don't want any craftworlds within a 450 light year radius of the centre of the Anargo sector... It would be practically forcing me to use them for the craftworld colony! Kage

Yeah, I see your point, Minister. The Kenan Sector - A sector where Vandirites held on for centuries, loosing their power in bitter wars and leaving a major branch of the old Ecclesiarchy splitting itself off from the new order and clinging on around the edges, rising up ocasionaly PS: I'm not even going to comment on the absence of Eldar, Kage. You know my feelings on the matter, so I'll just protest in silence

PS: I'm not even going to comment on the absence of Eldar, Kage. You know my feelings on the matter, so I'll just protest in silence <grin> Do you have absolutely any idea how much I want to make the eldar a significant presence in the Anargo sector? There is so much that I could do in explaining... everything with reference to the Metarune, the Clans, etc., that would solve so much... <sigh> But the Anargo sector is not just a staging ground for inappropriate personal 'fluff'. Hence the restriction to one iddy-biddy little craftworld colony. Until the story gets going. Kage

There should be at least one sector of comparitive 'civilisation' to Anargo (preferrably more than one). We dont want to make Anargo the only bastion of Imperial 'civilisation' for a few hundred light years

Both Erdeko and Kenan are fully Imperial sectors, it's simply that they've also had a rather turbulent history (so has everywhere else in the galaxy, though. So it's nothing special...)

Well, Kage wants us to name them all. Here's all of them. If anyone is interested, all of these can be renamed later, and concepts can be created (or possibly changed for those that already have concepts) Now, let's check my calculations... the Anargo sector and all sectors touching it should form three discs of three times three sectors. 3 x 3 x 3 = 27. So let's get started. The following 27 sectors appear in no particular order, except that the six green ones envelope the Anargo sector (they have whole sides touching), whilst the yellow ones only touch its corners. 1. Anargo sector - For more information go here 2. Erdeko sector - Site of Imperial Crusade against dissident Tripedan sub-sector early M40, in which troops from the Anargo sector, notedly Dorvastor, were involved. Capital world, Viand's Landing, is one of the primary hubs for the Kernmo Navigator House.
3. Herluin Sector - Ancient, heavily populated Imperial sector with fantastic commerce. Genestealer infestations are slowly spreading though, and one planet has already been Exterminated in M41, to stop the Hive Worlds from homing in on the beacon.
4. Validus Sector - Another sector with a long history of Ork wars, having assisted a great deal in both the Cruciatine and Anargo sector for millennia. Eldar Craftworld (quite rightly) suspected to guard the unexplored Cairnech cluster
5. Kenan Sector - A sector where Vandirites held on for centuries, losing their power in bitter wars and leaving a major branch of the old Ecclesiarchy splitting itself off from the new order and clinging on around the edges, rising up ocassionally.
6. Lazarus Sector - Another old and powerful Imperial sector, but one that is somewhat crippled as its forgeworld Ytha has been caught in a Chaos uprising in the Devota subsector. Imperial forces in the sector are giving everything to save the planet before the corruption sinks too deep.
7. Damian Sector - ? ? ?
8. Cruciatine Sector - Sector put to ruin after Waaagh! Tuskragga in M36. For more info, go here.
9. Winoc Sector - ? ? ?
10. Madron Sector - ? ? ?
11. Revocatus Sector - ? ? ?
12. Regnia Sector - ? ? ?
13. Arcadius Sector - ? ? ?
14. Xystus Sector - ? ? ?
15. Jader Sector - ? ? ?
16. Valkenburg Sector - ? ? ?
17. Oldcorne Sector - ? ? ?
18. Constabilis Sector - ? ? ?
19. Karlow Sector - ? ? ?
20. Udalrich Sector - ? ? ?
21. Isidore Sector - ? ? ?
22. Ghislain Sector - ? ? ?
23. Epolonius Sector - ? ? ?
24. Dydacus Sector - ? ? ?
25. Brescia Sector - ? ? ?
26. Silvanus Sector - ? ? ?
27. Natalis Sector - ? ? ?
There! It has been done.

If we're not careful, this is going to end up as the Galaxy Imperium project...

13. Arcadius Sector This Sector has long been renowned as one of the most cultured and exquisite sectors. Visible technology is seen as vulgar so many of the worlds are used as Agriworlds and Hiveworlds are few and far between. The gardens of Arcadius, the sector capital are renowned for their beauty yet in the palaces poisonings and court intrigues are commonplace.
26. Silvanus Sector A Sector known for its mining wealth as a cluster of old stars scattered valuable trace metals across it. Because of the rich resources the capital Drisra is a well known stop on one of the warp currents from the Anargo Sector outwards.

15. Jader Sector Also known as "the armpit of the region". Sparsley populated, with little in the way of resources or habbitable worlds to interest the Imperium. The sector capital, Chorget III, is the only truely civilised world, whilst the seventeen other Imperial worlds are all backwards agri-worlds or low-tech miudballs not worth the effort to develop properly.

The Jader sector was a pretty cool idea. Hmmnn...
I'm thinking I'll have to make a sticky-thread when we've finished all o these.
