And each regiment is famous for their bravery and honour and courage and all that crap I would love to see regiments who are forced to fight by their government, or slave regiments

Aahh, some wonderfully constructive posting!! ;D Obviously, the Imperial Guard regiments are known for their bravery and honour. That's why their motto is " Duty and Honour" Seriously, if an Imperial Guard regiment is known for cowardice and dishonouring the Imperium, it's not going to stay in the Imperial Guard for long, is it? More likely in the Penal Legions, or on the wrong side of an execution squad. There are regiments which have more episodes of cowardice and dishonour than others though. Take the fighting men of Meksum, for example

But eahc regiment is brave and couragous...but in the fluff its always like "this regiment is famous for it's courage and bravery" kinda as if that specific regiment is braver than the other ones or something

I cannot help but spam at this point with a couple of phrases that I've heard associated with military units and/or actions, the first real the second part of a fictional universe. "We're always in the sh**; it's just the depth that varies." and... "The unit motto of the planetary governor's elite guard was 'Death Before Dishonour'. All they got wrong was the order." Kage

Allright boys and girls now listen up. I have ordered a full battalion of IG as we here are going into 2 Recruiting a Regiment project. First one is finished with i am winning. I have concluded the whole army in one and a half mounths while even my competitors are not finished assembling.
So we are entering another one in Monday. And i want to build out a dear regiment of the Castellan sub-sector.
Ideas of doctirines, modelling, painting and composition is required.
Note: I will be using Cadian models, Kasrkins as stormtroopers.
Nnote: This projects product will be the support elements of my Armoured Company(But i don't want to pick up mechanised).

Well... there's the Altarrans (Proteus subsector), who I imagine would have Grenadiers! Sharpshooters! Drop Troops! (deployed with rope from Valkyrie transports) Die-hards Tech Priest Enginseers / Special Weapon Squads (depending on your need. Both make sense according to the Altarrans' background) And there's the Meksumians, who I suppose would have Chem-inhaler! Heavy weapon platoons Independent Comissars Mechanised Special weapon squads And the Castellans themselves, which might have Grenadiers! Xeno-fighters: Orks! Close Order drill Iron Discipline Heavy weapon platoons! The Imperial Guard of Dorvastor, the Cardinal world Priests! Storm Troopers! Die-Hards! Close Order Drill Sharpshooters The options marked with exclamation marks (!) are especially characterful considering their background, IMO If creators of the individual worlds disagree, I am open for abuse When you've chosen one of these, we'll start talking about paint, modelling and composition

Well... And there's the Meksumians, who I suppose would have Chem-inhaler! Heavy weapon platoons Independent Comissars Mechanised Special weapon squads No Chem-inhaler, we have reasonably clear air in most hive blocks. For sure there is Conscripts plus Trademark Items for the Command.

I was thinking about the Meksumians' rumoured drug-habits, and using the Chem-inhaler upgrade to represent this. I imagine the Meksumian drugs would be similar to the drug "Kalma" mentioned in C:IG, right? Calming effect to escape the horror of war, as opposed to 'slaught...
What trademark items, btw?

OK, I just have forgotten the true purpose of the inhaler… I agree to have it back in list. I What trademark items, btw? The Italians had great heroes, but very low morale army. They had 2 guys who were driving torpedoes and blown several English battleships – quite a heroic thing… so I try to give heroes to Meksumians, on whose authority and popularity they will orienting in their morale. Some kind on high medals, staying in front of artillery fire, etc…

What i think is: Grenadiers Xeno-fighters: Orks Iron Discipline Sharpshooters Die Hards or Close order Drill And they will be the Troop elements of an Armoured company(But i will never tka mechanised infantry because i dislike the idea for paying a lot of money to the chimeras)

Sounds about right. Some heavy weapon platoons would be useful for gutting ork hordes though, but I guess there are other ways ;D
If you want to discuss your army more though, stuff like painting, modelling, army composition... you'd better move it to the wargaming forum.
