Ideas, ideas... I imagine that soldiers would have very light armour, since they are low-g creatures. They'll have enough difficulties just moving around on most worlds or enemy spacestations/ships, so they'd really want to keep their equipment light. Besides, one of their great advantages is climbing, and you can't do that with a lascannon. So... for the soldier, I suggest some kind of pistol that can be fired with one or two hands. Erm, I mean feet They need their hands free for walking and climbing. I don't know what their helmets would look like, but feel free to do some experimenting. If you're doing a picture of Jovean soldiers, it would be cool to have one standing on the ground, and another climbing on a wall/tree next to him, to see the Jovean soldier doing both. They'd be armed with pistols, probably sub-machine guns and grenades. And do give them some uniforms with urban camouflage. Civilians? I have no idea. Let your imagination flow free. Show some normal, practical Jovean clothing. If you feel up for it, you can also draw something more fashionable and extravagant Jovean children, I imagine, would walk on all fours. Like human children, the Jovean children would have proportionally short limbs and large heads. Females... perhaps it should be difficult for humans to tell the difference. Females could normally have brighter fur... They could be a bit taller, but more slender. And maybe some facial differences that most humans wouldn't pick up on anyway. I don't want there to be too many differences between males and females for the Joveans though. Since they're an advanced race, I'd like to think that they're above sexual discrimination and all that. In most Jovean cultures, anyway.

The helmet looks good, although you could increase protection around the eyes. I like the concept of the armour, but right now it looks like it weighs 50 pounds. I don't see how anyone could move in that... Right, I see what you were thinking, but you have to consider stability when firing. Firing with that weapon would be a lot like using those magical Y-shaped sticks to search for water. Pretty soon, it would start pointing up or down I was thinking that a normal human-style pistol grip would be the best option. Perhaps an extra handle on the side of the gun, when you want to use both hands. Beautiful, except I don't like those breasts I want the female Jovean breast to be like a cat's. Just nipples, barely visible in the fur. And let's give them four nipples, since Joveans tend to have more children than humans. Apart from the breasts, this is great

no problem ,i'll get rid of the breasts and do a more balanced gun ;)i can also get rid of the studs..(the idea behind this was that if they twirl fast enough it becomes a defensive weapon.hence the claws and balls at the end*just a thought* ;D.also i was toying with the idea of the Joveans having flaps in their clothing. *like a flying fox* so that they could glide from one tree to the next? i'll do a diagram to show you what i mean ;D

Oh, no, don't get rid of the studs! By making it lighter, I meant that it would be better to have a more tight-fitting piece of armour. Almost like a bodysuit. Right now, it looks like this really heavy cloak. Flying fox? Interesting for some types of warriors, definitely. Of course, on most worlds with a higher gravity than their own, they'd fall flat on their face

Great. Although I don't quite understand how her feet could be there instead. And she seems to have only three toes now...? Sorry for being so critical, I just need to make sense out of this

Could you give it a drum like a tommy-gun, rather than the long clip? Oh, and what's the circle-shaped sucker-thing on the back? As for the flying solderi, do you think you can make the 'wings' look a bit more artificial and technological? Now, he looks almost exactly like a flying squirrel. Perhaps it would be better to have a sort of aluminium fan or feather-structure?

the circle is for resting on the chest for better stability That would give them appalling accuracy. When you're firing a pistol, you really want it in front of your eyes to make aiming easier. Yeah, slightly heavier, but not that much. You also don't have to have very large drums. That looks great! Maybe show a Jovean para when he's standing with wings folded together, and when he's flying with wings out? I love the Jovean soldiers the way you've drawn them. Very original! I was afraid they'd look too much like another 40k race. The only problem I have with the soldiers, is with their guns. I've made yet another scetch to demonstrate. On the left is the gun as you've drawn it. On the right is my suggestion. I don't know what experience you have with firearms. You're an american, so you're probably a member of a gun club with a small arsenal in your basement Personally, I've fired pistols, (Glock P-80), submachine guns (MP5) auto rifles (AG-3) and machine guns (MG-3) when I was in the army, so I have a basic understanding of guns. Anyway, here are my thoughts on the matter. I think the 'house' of the pistol as you made it is too tall, and the drum is too long and big. The drum you had would probably contain 50-100 bullets depending on calibre, and that's more than we need. It would make the pistol very heavy, as you say. I've suggested a smaller drum on the right, with maybe 20 bullets or less. Actually, I think even my drum is a bit too big. You also want the drum as far back as possible. The firing mechanism is in the back of the gun, and too much forward weight gives you instability. You also want the side grip as close to the muzzle as possible, to give better stability. This SMG is going to be a bit heavy, so you don't want to spend too much strength aiming it. Obviously, this is basic physics. If you're holding a long object, it's easier to hold it at both ends than only at one end. I also recommend changing the muzzle to a more ballistic-style muzzle, so it's not confused with a lasgun. And I've added a small thingy to help aiming, above the muzzle. Think you could change this, please? Of course, I'm open to hear your thoughts on the subjects. You might have more knowledge on guns than myself PS: Changed name of the race from Jovean to Jovan, since there were too many races in the sector with 'ea' in them.

Thanks, I love those. Except I liked their eyes better when they were small black bulbs. Their eyes look very human now.
