If anyone is interested would it be possible to do a few pictures of my Lurkers (see other races in anargo sector). I know they have not been offically excepted yet and I am proberly comming here too early on in the process but I think even one rough drawing would do much for my cause. Will anyone come to my aid? If worst comes to worst and no one wants to tackle them then I have a few very rough images I have drawn; could someone atleast tell me how I would go about putting them up.

This is something I came up with for my own race a long time ago, there are similarities. Those being tentacles and three legs

Thanks Judd, though I don't think its exactly what Rascal was looking for, hopefully there is somthing in it that might inspire others, and also Rascal you should post you concept pics anyway, they don't haver to be brilliant, your the only one that can say exactly what you want everyone else has to guess

Their fantastic pictures Dazo! While they do share some similarites to what I have invisioned they are not the same as my Lurkers. Thankyou however since they give me a sort of reference to go off in the meantime, when explaining them. A discription will have to do for the moment because I cannot yet post my own. The Lurkers do not have 'heads', nor faces. All their limbs are connected into one sack like bulb that almost looks like an upside down pear. The only features it does have is the one eye on the left and the mouth on the right side in the central area we would consider their face to be. They have six arms, rather like a cross between the pincer and the hand in Dazo's Picture but more tentical like. The three 'legs' they have in addtion wrapp around underneath their body so that they become curved into a snakelike form. However their legs are quite large so also prop them up to a good hight as well. The skin texture is rippled and folded in places with tiny intricate scar-like webs. They also have a lot of pores dotting around them. A full Discription can be found here (in section B): kagemat.proboards19.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=OtherRaces&thread=1096161615&start=15 Thanks; I found the web site but at the moment it says I can't join with a free account; Its the wrong time. I aggree, their fantasitic an make my feeble attempt to draw my race look pitful.

if your having problems with photibucket ,the alternative is to scan your pic and attach it to dazo's e-mail address and send it straight to him? ...that way if your really embarrased about your pics only dazo will see them but a picture of what you want will greatly help Dazo in creating the lurkers

It looks scarily like an Enslaver...... Just my 2c
But i liked the first set of sketches, just for quality, tho I do not know if thsi is what the Lurker's creator had in mind.

First off I want to compliment Dazo on his artistic skills, for a sketch that good. In responce to your question its much closer. Its only minor differences to work out now;
1- the mouth is about the size of the eye, and their parallel to the two front tenticles.
2- They have only six tenticals (exculding the legs for the moment) and each of them is the same as the tri-one you have put in place of where its sholders would be.
3- Their 'legs' are not legs persay, think of them more like a serpent.
Looks Like I am going to have to E-Mail them; Missed the deadline once again.
So Dazo you should get them tommorow; See what you can do with them. I might even send some of their weapons.

Your too hard on yourself; I quite Liked it.... I think the hardest part of drawing them is going to be getting the shape of the body right. I did hundreds of little doodles but never did get it right, I ether got it as a spider or a pear with tenticles coming out of it. What you have ended up with was what I liked to call the 'Puppy eye' version. It was only when I shifted to the side view did I get the idea of what I wanted, because whatever happened it benifited from the debth. But thats just me; I can't draw. That was two years of my life wasted in education; I really should have done more then just Sculpture and Abstract stuff. I really like your interpritation of their close combat weapon. Its much better the the whip like thing I had in mind; kind of like a short sword now. The handle of the blade was interesting; where they holding it from the inside or just grasping it from behind the blade itself? And whatever you do please keep those antenna, their much better then what I had imagined.

Always, but thats how its gotta be Well I didn't really like them, but your the client Yes, the tentacle is inserted in the end but passes out through holes and then wraps around the handle, and i'm glad you like it. So you'd prefere a side on drawing as opposed to a face on one.

Artists are always their own worst critics ;D I really like them, but if you have something better in mind I would be remiss if I did not even consider them. For such an Exotic speices as the Lurkers thinking outside the box when it comes to approching handgrips is quite important. You done excellently in this area by actually using the tenticles. One more thing; the grip has two holes. Does that allow them to use the bottom one to reverse the weapon? From the look of it, they might be able to grip it like a human would hold a knife upside down so they are using the elbow to give a more powerful swing. Althought Lurkers don't have elbows I am sure this would give them some sort of advantage. Again its really upto you. All I was trying to imply was that the front view is much harder to get right then profile.
