Hmmm, seems not to have worked philip, how about you give me a description and i'll have a crack at it mate Some reason Photobucket has disappeared… Changed the img link. =Standardised Representation=I was just thinking that as ‘Hydrosphere’ in the Standard ASP representation is a percentage, and the Luna Cell plug-in has a range for sea level 0-100 they can be matched? It may be possible to match Luna Cell’s slider values to the ‘Standardised Representation’ values.

I like it...it has its own style compared to the more computergraphic looking worlds we have seen so far ;D

Very nice Dazo, I think you’ve got the hang of it! ;D
A few pointers, reduce the thickness of the atmosphere just a touch, and reduce the brightness of the atmosphere by a quarter (or less). Should now be able to add a little green, but make the green slightly greyish.
You may like to put the light ‘face on’ without any shadows if this is going to be part of a world’s standard representation.

It was accidental, I fluked my first attempt. Im one of those people who never both with tutorials, i just beat my head against it and hope it cracks before I do I think quechit has a dense atmosphere, plus somthing i've only just noticed it has a split atmosphere, the top bit blue and the bottom white, which is what I said would probably happen in my Stars thread I have the brightness quite low on most of my other planets, but this world has a very bright star so I needed to show that somehow . Yeah, I tried that(took me a while to figure out how like) I feel that that view, while probably being the right view for the SR, lacks atmosphere, passion...i'm an artist I have to go where my mojo takes me ;D Besides this is just an experimental exercise at the moment, I'm still getting to grips with it. I have noticed certain limitations, namely you can't really get a good representaion of massive hive cities nor can you do ice worlds with out them looking like a que ball

Quechit Hows that malika, I tried it with a greenish sea but it didn't look that good. Could you give the atmosphere a very little bit of yellow or brown? due to the contamination, or will that make it not look good?

Hmm...I see what you mean with it, I mean Earth also doesnt look yellow.
Hey Dazo, maybe you could help me out later with a map for Quechit after I finished the description?

As Quechit has so many clouds and is mostly water you may like to download some real clouds using the inbuilt 'satellite link'. The satellites tracking 'water vapour' may be of most use in this case...

Good stuff Dazo!
For standard representation what does everyone think of 500x500 pixels/ world size 47?

I hereby declare that it is up to the owner and creator of the world in question to approve of each picture, initially. Later, it will be up to Kage (and maybe myself, I don't remember) to approve of the addition of the picture to the SR of the world in question. Since this thread is going to be rather messy, I was going to suggest that you start a new thread with an archive of all the pictures, but I've reconsidered because we'd probably end up with people not quite liking the picture of the world, etc. Therefore, it is up to the owner and creator of each world to get someone to make a pretty image like Dazo and Nathan have been doing. When it has been made, just attach it to the SR, just like people have done with world crests and maps. Nice work by the way! I don't suppose anyone would be interested in making Tryphon and Nagoma...? (You can all information you need in the archive forum) As for a standard size... 500 x 500 is good. More than enough

Quite pretty, although it looks very cold There is one rather important problem though.... There's only supposed to be one sizeable landmass on Nagoma. One small continent, and the rest are tiny archipelagoes which might not even be seen from space.

Modified the original post.
I was think that if the ‘standard’ is 500x500, we could have a thread of world images where people building new worlds could ‘pick one’ and be up an running in no time. It may inspire people in their world creation if they have a world to look at?
Perhaps the world image post would include: the world, the world’s map and the img tag.
All those who create worlds could send ‘accepted ones’ to you or Kage to manage?
Dazo, Nathan are you up for that?

Hmm, I don't understand why Nagoma looks so cold. The ocean on Tryphon looks so blue and lovely, but on Nagoma it looks snow white. Is this because of the heavy pollution? Because Nagoma isn't supposed to be that cold. The ocean around the equator is not frozen. Just curious.
