I edited the Battlefleet Anargo pic to include a background a few days ago, but had trouble uploading it. I'll give it a whirl again today. Not the best quality editing, but it was never my strong point.

That Legatum Anargo is just... amazing! I love the colour scheme on it. Wonderfull! A lot better than the "official" green and white scheme. Makes me want to start collecting Battlefleet Gothic. Can you get them from Norway, or do you have to order them from abroad?
Also, the Guardsmen from Archaios are really good too.

Hey, thanks, Zoomdog! It actually looks pretty good. Though I think something should be done to make the ships a bit darker. As it is, they're so bright, they look like they're a couple of kilometers away from the sun Still though, pretty damned cool. It just needs a bit of tweaking, IMO. Ufortunately, I'm no marvel in the field of photo-editing either And thanks for the compliments, HighInquisitor I actually order them from England, though I bought most of my models back in the day when Norwegian shops still carried the game. Maybe 5 or 6 years ago?

I think the blue is very 'loud' on the Battlefleet, but I love the colour scheme for the marine ships.
The guardsmen are cool too. Though the shoulder highlights seem to stand out a little too much.
Not that I could do any better of course!
Perhaps these particular ships have just had a shiny new paintjob for the inspection by the Lord Commander Obscuras...

Pleased to hear that, frodo! Once we get our website up, we'll be looking for as many pictures of Anargo models as possible, including Space Marines painted as Frost Bringers, and the Altarran Imperial Guard regiment by our member Zidagar Dinoman, and any BFG ships painted in Anargo colours I agree about the highlights, Sojourner, but A) I don't have a better colour to use for highlighting, and I can't be bothered trying to mix a better colour, and B) The flash from the camera exaggerates the effect. Same goes for the BFG ships, really. They're not quite that bright in reality. The colour used is Enchanted blue, which is somewhat darker than Ultramarine blue.

CELS, How do you undercoat your ships? I'm asking because I'm considering starting to play BFG, and would like to play the Anargo sector battlefleet.
They're really really cool BTW! (not just the ships, the guardsmen too!)

Thanks, Fleetmaster. I paint my ships like this.
1) Undercoat black 2) Paint enchanted blue 3) Add black wash / ink 4) Highlight with enchanted blue 5) Add white trim 6) Add gold trim 7) Add boltgun metal details 8) Add brown and black wash / ink to gold and metal parts.
For perfectionists... 9) Highlight gold and metal parts 10) Add a thin stripe of black ink where gold meets white, for sharper lines. This is especially important on the prows.

They really are fantastically painted. I wish I had your skill . How long did it take you to do an individual model? and is their any tips for someone who has never painted BFG ships before?
