And here the rest of Hammer's stuff:

The Warpcasters are the most common representatives of the religious caste among the Hrud naval Strike Forces. They function as sub-commanders under the Scientist Overseers and are charged of ensuring the moral and spiritual purity of the combat troops. Often it is the Warpcaster who sees the day to day operation of the Strike Force while the great mind of the Scientist is preoccupied by some abstract thought or gathering of information. When present, the Elite warrior will be in charge of the tactical or operational situation leaving the Warpcaster to tend the spiritual needs of the force. Although complex, the command structure of the Hrud Strike force works smoothly in practise. The Warpcasters have access to many exotic devices created by the scientist caste. A common device among the Warpcasters operating in battlefield is the Sh’e-al neuro-glove. The glove, worn in palm of the hand and working in conjunction with brain-implanted neuro-receptors, allows the Warpcaster to project a searing blast of warp-enhanced energy towards a nearby foe. It is indeed the Sh’e-al glove that has given the religious caste commanders their name.

The combat engineers of the NSF marines often draw the most hazardous duties during the missions. When the situation calls to assault a bunker, secure a breach, destroy a pillbox or clear a path through a minefield, it is often the combat engineers who’ll draw the point duty. The casualty rate among the engineers is far higher than with the fellow Strikers, but the competition to be allowed in the unit is fierce. It is a matter of pride to be at the forefront of the combat. The engineer teams are well equipped with flame-throwers, pistols and hand-to-hand weapons to help them with the close quarter situations they often find themselves in. And to take care of a blocking bulkhead, strongpoint, bunker or an occasional vehicle, the engineers carry satchels full of breaching charges that will make a short work of the target. It is not an uncommon sight to see a Warpcaster among the engineer team as the fanatical commanders believe in leading from the front.

The Warder Adepts assigned to lead the Hrud troopers are trained in various different combat styles and can choose the weaponry best suited to their preferred style. Some Adepts prefer the strong and slow style of Earth, with the emphasis on blocks and devastating counter punches (often enhanced with the strength of a ripper-glove behind the punch) while other Adepts prefer the faster style of the Air, which puts emphasis on lightning fast strikes and kicks. The Adepts of the Air style often prefer the Sh’ia-disk as their primary weapon. The disk is one of the hardest weapons in Hrud arsenal to master, but in the hands of an expert it becomes deadly extension of their attacks, the monomolecular edge cutting through even the strongest armour. Sh’ia master can even use the disk in ranged combat with accurate throws that, with the help of internal gyro stabiliser, returns the weapon back to the Adepts hand.

The Hrud Navy uses many Special Forces units to support the Strike Force on the ground. The Special forces units are trained in the Warder temples and are often accompanied by the Adepts to the missions. The Jump troopers train for rapid deployment to the battlefield via the help of a grav-chute. The chute, a big pack consisting mainly of the warp-globe powering it and the anti gravity thrusters that provide the lift, allows the jump troopers to hover for a long time in the sky over the battlefield. The troopers can then drop down unexpectedly (often accompanied by a statchel of explosives dropped on top of the unsuspecting enemy!) to support the Strikers on the ground. Once grounded, the chute provides weight-reducing effect that allows the troopers to make long, graceful jumps when moving. The troopers come equipped with low-light goggles and special silenced version of a standard impeller gun. The silenced gun shoots smaller ammunition that gives the gun a longer range, but reduced power.

Amongst the multitudes of the experiments done by the Scientists, none are more horrible as the great battle beasts known among the Hrud as the Linebreakers. The beasts are horrifying mix of organic biotech and machines, powered by the warp energy bound within the great bodies. Nobody, save the Scientists themselves, knows the origin of the beasts. Whether born in some unnamed planet or grown in the huge bio-vats deep inside the laboratory complexes, the original form of the beast has been mutated beyond recognition. The body of the beast consist of strengthened bone, sub-dermal armour plates and bio-enchanted muscle that makes the creature almost invulnerable to all but the most powerful weapons. The hands end with cruel claws of metal that, with the strength of the beast behind them, can rip through armour, flesh and bone with equal ease. On top of the beasts shoulder stands a heavy Impeller Cannon, mind-linked directly to the beasts’ brain. On the forearms emerge the muzzles of flamers, ready to spew forth hellish fire from the warp globes within the body. The Linebreakers have proven to be great asset to the Naval Strike Forces as they take very little space onboard the Stealthships, but provide the bunch of a main battle tank in the field.

The Shadowborn class tank is the most common armoured vehicle among the Strike Forces as it combines the attributes of an APC to that of a main battle tank. This tactical flexibility is also its main weakness as it is not as good in either role as a vehicle dedicated to that role. It lacks the heavy bunch of a tank and is often too valuable as in armoured support role to be used as a simple battlefield taxi. Nevertheless, as the space onboard the Stealthship is so critically limited, the Strike Forces are stuck with this Jack-of-all-trades design. The Shadowborn has gained its name due to the stealthy nature of the vehicle. It is very quiet when operating at lower speeds and the stealth-plated hull hardly shows in the scanners. Because of the anti-gravity drive, the tank can pass over the ground without leaving revealing tracks for enemy to follow. This allows the tank to set deadly ambushes against the unsuspecting enemy. The tank seems to literally appear out of the shadows as it powers up for attack and finally shows on the enemy scanners. When combined with a deadly cargo of infantry carried within, the tank makes a perfect vehicle for the raiding missions the Hrud often engage.
