In order to more fully integrate the sector, or at least some planets/systems within it I thought out the following idea: One member gives the start of the story, which should lead to co-operation of 2 worlds, using own world while the owner of the other planet writes a story. Then he in turn does the same to someone else. Not too clear, I know, therefore I give you 2 examples. 1. In 340.M39, a navigator from Meksum, namely Meksumian Alliance of Aether Mariners traveled to the Academy. He wanted to get new crew members for newly built ships. He was murdered. Now owner of Academy-planet needs to write down by whom and why2. In 657.M37, an Imperial Guard regiment from Neu Povolzh was mis-delievered on Archaios instead on one of the worlds on Castellan sub. What happened to them? After the authors write down stories they drop similar ‘starters’ to just another victim.

I have two questions
1) The Stories don't have to be long, do they? 2) Where would they be used? Its all well and good as background but when they are concerning two systems or more then where would they be placed as background?

This is in part the purpose of the "Mission Statement"...

1) The Stories don't have to be long, do they? Not long, up to 1 A4 page, most likely smaller. 2) Where would they be used? Its all well and good as background but when they are concerning two systems or more then where would they be placed as background? Yes they will if they are good. They give depth, as proposed by the Mission Statement. I even planned to post it there, but thread is locked.

It's a brilliant idea, of course. The big, big problem is that there's a very big chance some posts/stories will have to go through major changes or be rejected altogether, since we have very strict guidelines and a very "monolithic" approach to 40k fluff. Inevitably, this will cause irritation and disappointment. I'm not arguing against your suggestion though, Zholud. This was ultimately something me and Skonar were going to do with the failed Anargo Chronicles. The problem, of course, was that Skonar was obsessed with Space Marines. And of course, some would argue that they weren't even Space Marines My point? Oh yes. Be warned; All suggestions are not going to be accepted, if these chainstories are going to be considered a part of the ASP, and 'canon'.

Creating a premise of interaction between worlds is fine, but remember that any continuation of such is part of the 'story' of the ASP and is therefore subject to considerable 'control' at this early stage.
