-Other Races are to go on hold for now. You can carry on working with them, but do so in your own time as it were. If I could I would temporarily lock the board, but that is not possible at the moment. Finish worlds-in-progress. No new concepts until planets are done. Also doable, I need to finish Karnak. Before this is done rectified UWP and concepts should be posted in the appropriate subsector board. In the specific example of Karnak this just means posting the proper UWP information in terms of government, law, population and so forth. From that point on it will be 'set in stone' and will only be changed in certain, very rare circumstances. Acceptance of Worlds - I think Karnak has approval, so no worries. All worlds, at present (even those in the Archive) are in a liminal phase awaiting the proper submision of rectified UWP and concepts. If you are confident that a world is to be included, then fine. All worlds will, however, be integrated both on the subsector and sector level... (In other words, don't worry but I have to say this since it must apply to all worlds or none. I've even decided that capital worlds should be considered in this same liminal phase.) It would greatly help if, as with the Tryphon Appendix and the Tir'asur SR if world-builders would begin to consider just how the world is going to integrate into the wider project. I'm not just talking about trade, but rather RPG- and wargame-wise. Did I grossly misinterpret anything? You missed out a section which applies to all members (i.e. rectified UWP), since it would be great if everyone joined in as much as possible. The problem with world creation thus far is that it has been done in isolation from the rest of the worlds. This is unlikely to happen in the 40k universe so it behoves us to ensure that it doesn't happen with the project.

Well i am all for this - of course i will continue work on the Vaeloni, as this is a personal project too, but at the end of the day, I really think that I should dedicate myself to helping with the creation of systems, just like we all should (as this is what will make the sector). Doing it in this macroscopic way, with more communication between the various individuals, should help to create a united atmosphere that the 40K narrative seems to lack due to the amount of paradigms that BL and GW seem to like entertaining. So yes, it is with much confidence that i say that putting some of the Vaeloni elements on hold to help out with the Sector proper is fine by me - Plus i have bene improving my Inanimate object art, so I will be working on some artefact (Modern/Archoetech/anything) pictures as soon as i feel confident enough to help... i would also like to pick up the skills of creating those world pictures, as i think that they are great, and i would really like to be able to do those to demonstrate the worlds that are within the secotr that i may have a hand in at some point.... Well that is enough of me going on, i just hope that i can help as much as possible, and get on with what the mission statement says Good work and thanks for bringing this into focus . Sokahr

This post and the previous post will be deleted within the next few days. Apologies but it is completely OffT. The rectified world UWP and concept should be posted to the Anargo subsector forum in the appropriate thread. Note that I will be making changes to the Anargo Primus UWP myself, so there we go... The deadline is purely for UWP at the moment, right? or are we going to start giving them for Concept to SR?
If so ahhh! but I can see it would move the project forward to have such things, to keep us reminded that they need to be finshed.

The deadline is for monumental and ground-shaking posts to this thread to change my mind on how this should be done. At present I'm leaning towards Destecado's suggestion of a subsector by subsector approach, but only once the 'wider picture' has been addressed. So, post those comments or get with the programme! I think the best thing would be to finish the worlds currently in progress before moving on to working on the Anargo subsector or Castellan subsector or whatever. And the Castellan subsector is still extremely foggy, since the big picture still hasn't been worked out. I hate to be a rebel, but I think I'm going to do that no matter what, since I would hate to have 3 nearly completed SRs. While you might be comfortable with just having them hang in the air, to be approved or rejected later, I am extremely uncomfortable with that.

The "Mission Statement" process is designed to introduce integration which is currently missing from all subsectors. While there are allusions made in the concepts to economic or political integration this is not carried through with the SRs, which are essentially represented as "islands in space" and thereby perpetuating one of the greater flaws in the 40k (GW) 'fluff' itself. Once again, the process here is designed as a 'step back' from the design process which, even in the more developed subsectors, creates a collage rather than an integrated picture... a Guard regiment here, some PDF here, a different governor there, but very little information on how the worlds work together.
CELS, if the Archiaos subsector really is as complete as you seem to suggest - and the SRs look good despite the lack of integration that is present in all the subsectors - then moving through the process of the "Mission Statement" will be a minor annoyance. Indeed, the social, political and economic framework of Archiaos would be useful to other subsectors since it could offer a framework of construction, aiding in the production of their worlds and allowing cross-links to be created between Archiaos and the other subsectors.
So, complete the worlds if you will. But the integration should be present, and that includes integrating where possible with other subsectors...

Question: Are those of us with stakes in other subsectors lower down on the "list" required to create planets for the one under construction, or do we need merely assist with the planets in progress that other people are creating for that subsector?

Thanks for asking Glyph...
I too was going to ask this, at present I only really contribute to the Castellan sub and linked discussion in any detail and with regularity. I only pop into other subsectors to have a look at what is 'happening' so not to get stuck behind etc.

The purpose of this "Mission Statement" is to get everyone reading from the same page, as it were. You can continue to work on your own stuff but in your 'own time'. The real concentration is getting the subsectors working and not just filled up with worlds.

A list of questions regarding changes in UWP. - Technology – is the figure shows the highest available or highest to be created on site. E.g. Neu Povolzh has 6 (Pre-industrial), does not produce any harvesters (lvl 9-10) but uses them. It Maybe even has brought-in operators. Which level is it, 6 or 10?
- Life Value – planet was sterile (0), Imperium flies in and sets teaming eco-system. Is LV 0 or not?
- Exports – is it major revenue-generating export good, or one for which the planet is famous. E.g. Meksum exports entertainment – namely produces vids, propaganda, etc… but in terms of revenues it is not the biggest I guess. After all Hiveworlds have large manufacturing… at least usually.
All at the moment.

It Maybe even has brought-in operators. Which level is it, 6 or 10? The TTL mentioned is normally representative of the 'local' TL. Life Value – planet was sterile (0), Imperium flies in and sets teaming eco-system. Is LV 0 or not? Current, though whether the Imperial records show that is another matter. Exports – is it major revenue-generating export good, or one for which the planet is famous. The code is suggested and the one that is most commonly associated with the world... or the one that it produces the most of. The SR will cover this. When the GT:FT system is applied and Sojourner's breakdown mapped over it, things should turn out peachy.

Current, though whether the Imperial records show that is another matter. Note that this makes you change all Life values to at least 3. Because if humans present on the world, they have to have bacteria, because otherwise even digesting is impossible. And most likely they have brought in pets and flowers even to clean-up air. Thus no imperial inhabited world can be sterile! So, maybe you change your mind on that?

First off, I would like to remind people that the "Mission Statement", or rather the goals of this thread, are being dealt with in the "Archive" category, specifically the "Anargo sector at a Glance" board. Direct your browsers to that location, please. I'm sure that with a millisecond of thought you could imagine a situation whereby a world has a 0 Life value and yet still has human 'habitation'... This is, however, entirely OffT. Take it to World Building.
