With the Imperium being such a hive of activity, would the citizens of any system know people from others? like for example would people from the Castellan sector know people from Armageddon? Or is there no private space travel, by that i mean cruise ships, small personal like 5 man crafts for short distances? or would space travel be like today i.e with no warp drive except for Fleet Ships for the normal citizen??

With the Imperium being such a hive of activity, would the citizens of any system know people from others? That depends on a wide number of factors such as who the citizen is, which planets they are, etc., etc. Or is there no private space travel, by that i mean cruise ships, small personal like 5 man crafts for short distances? Yes there is private trave, both in the 'fluff' and in the Anargo Sector Project. Given GW's proclivity for large ships, though, we have (at the moment) arbitrarily decided that a ship of around 3,000 'displacement tons' is about the smallest "economically feasible" ship. This is, of course, subject to discussion since it is tied into the concept of imagery in the 40k universe. (Personally I'm all for smaller ships since I think that the whole 'big ship' thing is fairly ridiculous.) or would space travel be like today i.e with no warp drive except for Fleet Ships for the normal citizen?? Everything depends on the citizen.
