Please, let's try to be more civil. I'm not going to point my finger, but keep in mind that even if you mean to be nice and include a smiley, people can take offence. I'm pretty sure I smell the stink of sarcasm here, and we really don't need that. If you have a personal problem with any of the members, deal with it via PM. Politely. As for astropaths, Philip- please do me the favour and explain the problem with not having Astropaths on every warp-capable ship in the Imperium. I understand the Norad-argument, and why it would be preferable, but please explain why our present view is inconsistent. Let's be constructive, people *tries to act like a leader of some kind*

Please, let's try to be more civil. My post was civil, and direct. I have always spoken to Kage with the utmost respect, even when he has been less than civil to me. It is really so much to ask that he treats me as I treat him? Before I let things slide as he was doing his PhD, but now what is his excuse? I'm not going to point my finger, but keep in mind that even if you mean to be nice and include a smiley, people can take offence. I'm pretty sure I smell the stink of sarcasm here, and we really don't need that. I’m not being sarcastic. If you have a personal problem with any of the members, deal with it via PM. Politely. I would, but Kage likes to have his blow-outs in public. The first time he had a blow-out over the STC (you remember, the one were he ‘dammed’ me), I sent him a PM which he ignored, so it would seem pointless to discreetly PM him and attempt sort this out in private. As for astropaths, Philip- please do me the favour and explain the problem with not having Astropaths on every warp-capable ship in the Imperium. I understand the Norad-argument, and why it would be preferable, but please explain why our present view is inconsistent. If I though I had a fair crack of the whip I would, but what’s the point if it’s only going to be deleted? Let's be constructive, people I would like nothing more. *tries to act like a leader of some kind* I really do appreciate what you are trying to do CELS, and I hope this can be resolved. I actually really do like the ASP, and when Kage is calm it is a fun place to be.

My post was civil, and direct. Oh. Maybe it's because I'm a Norwegian and don't speak English as well as you or Kage, but it looked to me like you implied that Kage was lying in your last post. I must have read it wrong... That said, I really didn't want to point my finger. I'm sure it's better that we all look ahead, instead of focusing on who said what in the past. Of course, if the problem continues, we're going to have to do something. I'm going to make a point out of not replying to any of this. I leave it up to you guys to work out your differences, and all I can say is that I hope you'll both be nice in the future, regardless of what either of you may or may not have done. I'm quite certain the thread wasn't moved because Kage didn't like your idea, Philip. But please, let's not get into that. I'm asking you to explain your objections with the current astropath-situation. If you could do so without making it personal, that would be good. I'm sure we can work it out, if people are able to focus on the future, instead of bickering about the past. Arguing about who did what will get us nowhere. If we're all nice and constructive from now on, we'll make progress. And please note the difference between being polite and being nice, everyone Now.. let's get back OnT. Philip, I believe you have a question to answer! What's the problem with our astropath situation? How is it inconsistent with the ASP?

Now.. let's get back OnT. Philip, I believe you have a question to answer! What's the problem with our astropath situation? How is it inconsistent with the ASP? First I’ll see what Kage has to say, then if all goes well I start a new thread on Astropaths as it poses quite a few problems, not only for the ASP but also 4E.

Well you certainly write it well enough to be constantly correcting my grammar and spelling, and i'm English Lets not do that eh. Like CELS said lets move on, I really don't think you need to wait as I have already initiated a discussion on astropaths[ftp]http://kagemat.proboards19.com/index.cgi?board=Imperium&action=display&thread=1095546201[/ftp] here so there's no reason for confrontation

Before I let things slide as he was doing his PhD, but now what is his excuse? If one were to follow through with this approach, then one could point out arranging the finances to a move to another country, work permits, visas, flights... It's actually easier now that the PhD is 'finished'... What is my excuse? There are only ever explanations. Excuses are what people put forward as a lie... While I would question your comments (in the extreme) there is little point in moving down that route. As has been proven thus far it has been done to death. Ironically - or is that 'amusingly' - I've done that with CELS before and, well, the result of that conflict is self-explanatory. What is the solution? I don't know. I would fee that the foundation lies with the premises of the project: that we question everything, that we try to keep things consistent, and that we do not naturally assume the validity of the 'new'. I invite anyone to start whatever threads they will, but only ask that they back it up with something that is consistent with the various editions...
