Must be that famous fickleness and the fact if not instant and continual progress is made then people drop out... Ah well. Perhaps I should take the hint and chalk up ASP as a good idea that was perhaps bigger than people could be patient enough to wait for? Again, ah well... Kage

I've been waiting for someone to post something on which I can comment, the exams leaving me half-braindead and incapable of thinking up my own ideas.

I'm in a position not identical to, but at the moment equivalent to, Minister's. I'd sort of expected the Project to take a lot longer, with bursts and lulls, gradually accreting over many months. That's been the sort of pattern that most other Internet-coordinated projects I've been involved with have followed.

Ah, I'm glad my silly little post had the intended effect. Well, if there's still hope, there's no sense in chalking this up just yet. It's not like we have a deadline or anything. In fact, I'm not supposed to have time for this project at the moment either. It's amazing what you have time for if you just stop sleeping... Instant progress is importent, yes. Continual progress, not so much. People saying that they're busy, but will be back in a few weeks or months, that's totally cool in my book. When people stop by every other week to say 'Uhm, I've been busy. I'll probably post this and that this weekend', without result... that's what kills a project, I think. Anyways, Minister, if you want something to comment on, I'd be very interested in your thoughts on the Anargo Crest, which has been something of a question mark for a while. You'll find the thread in the artwork forum. Also, check my Member gallery on Portent, where you'll find different colour schemes for the Anargo Navy, and let me know if you like any of them, and if you want to see something else. If you still want more, there's always the stuff I've done in the Proteus subsector. I know you've already made one comment on the forgeworld, but if you have any other comments for the rest of the world, or on my concepts for the other Imperial worlds in the subsector, that would be most welcome. If you've been there, done that, I'll post what I have on the Proteus Tech Guard, Explorator force, Ordinatus and Legio Lancea Oh, and then there's the Aoideans... Doesn't have to be constructive, I just want to hear what people's thoughts are. But yes, fresh ideas would be nice. We've pretty much been over the stuff that interests each of us most, as much as time allows, and pretty much taken that as far as we could. There's really not much left to say about the Eldar clans, the AM forces, the Navy composition or the Castellan subsector, untill someone has time to actually produce something new. Meanwhile, we're left with waiting for fresh blood. Speaking of which, if no one has any other suggestions for places that might be appropriate for recruiting, please send me the websites of the suggested groups/forums, and I'll go snoop around. PS: Good luck with your exams, Minister. I hear the best thing is to read like hell, and then do nothing related to the exam the day before the exams. Never tried it myself though. I usually need the last day for the last half of the syllabus ;D

Alright... I have resisted the urge to click on the "Delete this board" link in admin options... I will say this outright, however. I do not have the time to work on the capital subsector. I might just get the chance to finish the capital world, but beyond that... no. ...At this point I must interject a bit of advice. If you are ever doing a PhD and your supervisor asks you to do some writing? Do it. I have some rather unique excuses for doing it, but it is better to write 3,000 words 1 month than 100,000 words in 3 months. I promise you that. Especially when that is the time that supervisors tend to say, "Ah, but had you considered..." B*stards... Anyway, I'm still incredibly interested in this project. I think that is has a great deal to offer to fans in general and even GW! You can already see that it is developing mimics (i.e. Sol Sector on Portent). I'll really try and get the example world generation done but, as with everyone else, I'm having to fudge things at the moment... Kage

look dont delete it, let us work on it then, I mean we all joined this because we are so interested, and gw sometimes just seems to lack from a fluff perspective, we are working that out now, I think you should keep this, and you come and check it from time to time (when u can of course) but keep this thing alive, I really like it, Im so crappy with computers so I cant make a board and all that, but just put ur second man in control for now or something, the mods

If His Supreme Kageness can't spare the time, I'm usualy on several times a day to act in Modhood (I just can't get decent blocks of time to get any real quantity of stuff done).
