It would be interesting to speculate - or, rather, calculate - which systems are within the encompass of the nebula and what effects this might have
So how would one go about doing that.
I like the idea of strange nebulae's but its kinda star trekkie isn't it. It would be a good place for an inquisitorial enclave doing ultra secret stuff, the myths surrounding the nebula could have been started by them to keep people away(very scooby doo)
These are the systems which are in the encompass of the nebula and which includes those that are not directly within the traditional/established 'confines' of Dorvastor.
Ah, the 'ole concept of the Inquisitorial enclave... I'm not averse to this, but let's avoid the munchkin shall we?
Indeed lets avoind the...munchkin...what exactly does that mean, is this another one of those cheesy, beardy things, neither of which I understand either
Though if not them then I would be a loss as to which imperial agency would be up to no good in there, would the Mechanicus bother spying on the eccleisiasticl worlds like that or maybe they are hiding captured xenos ships, that should have been destroyed, but which certain tech priests have decided require further study. Might the Eccleisiarchy themselves be hiding/protecting relics in there, but that wouldn't make a lot of sense, as anything that important would be paraded around to drum up revenue for the church.
Actually the Agri world of Q'shen seems to be in there, maybe the nebula makes all the food giant due to strange radiation"beam me up scottie"
The Inquisitorial fortress in the Dorvastor Nebula has twenty regiments of Inquisitiorial storm troopers, five Inquisitorial battle barges and ten black cruisers. It contains more secrets than the Black Library, and is the center for the Inquisition in the Ultima Segmentum. And it has a nova cannon.
One has to wonder at the point of any kind of large, isolated Inquisitorial installation in the first place. That they maintain small keeps and castles on most worlds, I'm pretty sure of, and probably even a few small research stations on the odd moon. But a fortress-monastery-like installation, with thousands of inhabitants and endless library halls with forbidden texts? Why? Why cram it all together in a huge, fantastic fortress, when the Inquisition is everything but aggrandising and glorious?
A huge shipyard where the Inquisition does secret experiments on alien shipwrecks? Nah. I think at least half the members of the Inquisition would go berserk if they heard about that, what with the monodominants and all. That sounds more like an Adeptus Mechanicus idea, and even then, on a much smaller scale.
Experiments on Ecclessiarchy relics? Well, then you have to assume that the Ecclessiarchy is willing to squander away their precious relics for the Inquisition to do all kinds of research. And I'm not so sure about that. I'm not sure even the Inquisition would want that. And then you have to wonder about the nature of the relics, and so on.
But this is getting OffT, sorry. Maybe a new thread should be started.

Ahhh so munchkin is an ironic thing, no lets definatly not be munchkin about this. If any thing it would be a very small enclave, research base, 1 or 2 small ships and only minimal, yet elite, security.

I know, thats what I was suggesting
Experiments on Ecclessiarchy relics
I never said that, I just said it might be something the eccleisiarchy was keeping hidden, though for the life of me I wouldn't know what or why they would do that.

No, its not really of topic at all, as temporary overlord of Dorvastor I say carry on ;D I was interested in what ideas people might have for the nebulae so...
