- The planet is one big swamp
- In areas it is heavily mountainous which is where many of the cities are based
- It is covered in vast field of a planet called the (INSERT NAME HERE) Root. Although it is classified as Agricultural produce it has far more in common with a weed. It has grown out of control across the planet and has negative effect to competing plant life on the planet. During the winter they have to burn whole continents worth in order to best contain it. It is the biggest export that planet it has and generate vast wealth for the Barons.
- The planet can be quite dangerous to outsiders; rotting scum and exploding swamp gases are but a small collection of the dangers. However to all of the people on planet it is not that big a deal. Only the interstellar pirates and criminal lowlifes that make some of the distant swamps their homes offer any real danger.
- The Planet is home to a small half collapsed Navy base that the Imperium has almost abandoned anyway. The Corporations maintain day to day working of the fortress to keep a watchful eye out on their competitors movements.
- A large but primitive starport has been carved into a mountain and layer in thick concrete blocks to protect it from raiders. It is the primary storage for all produce that leave the planet and the guest quarters for offworlders.

- Powerful Corporations rule the planet using the Imperial governor as a puppet to keep the people and the rest of the Imperium believing that they are not as powerful as they actually are.

- The Imperial faith is adhered to, but not as strictly as some other worlds. Most of the population is to hard up to spend to devote to much time to its practice. Only the Festivals they have there are considered important enough to brake away from normal. Its only on these rare few days that any serious religious devotion is practiced.
- It has become common for some of the Scions of the Corporate world to find their Faith due to their aimless lifestyle.

- The Law is kept by the Planetary defence force rather then a police force, which allows them pretty much to do whatever they want. They controlled by regional governors who are direct employment of the Barons.
- 50% of the populace are in a very low income bracket and are the main workers. Most of these are working for the Agricultural industry.

- Only the Barons (the regional Controllers of each cooperation) have access to any ‘real’ technology. They use their vast wealth to buy products from off world.
- Even the poorest has access to some technology. Radio towers allow the people their to communicate to all the other distant communities.
- Every house within even the smallest village has access to electricity. In the Northern communities it is highly essential to keep the air coolers operating in the sweltering environment.
- Both the government and corporations have access to large twin rotor helicopters, which is their main way of transporting things across vast distances. For everyone else its done exclusively by boat.

There are two main Tithe collected from the planet
- The Root plant
- Imperial Guard regiments. In fact one of the more renowned in Meksum The 181st the ‘Swamp Lizards’ come from members of the Planetary Defence force on Morven. It is primarily a Mounted Regiment that can cover vast distances and is mostly effective on fighting on other swamp or death worlds.

- The Morvonians have a much Higher Tolerance of heat.

- Life on Morven is very depressing and morbid and this has had an impact on their culture. Most of the population is humourless, hardworking individuals who have a strong sense of duty.
- A slight Xenophobia Runs through the populace of offworlders.

- Low Gothic is the main Language of Morven. Only in the poor communities is it that corrupted to any degree.

- The PDF version of the Swamp Lizards are only the second largest division on the planet. They operate almost exactly like the Imperial Guard regiment do, having access to the same equipment. The only difference is the size; being five times bigger on Morven. They are used as a training ground for the Imperial Guard and only the best get the option to leave the planet.
- The biggest Force on the planet is the Green Core, a basic Marine troop that are transported around by boat. Their nickname comes from the colour of the boats they travel in, since to camouflage themselves in a Swamp they are all painted green.
- The elite most troops travel about in helicopter gunships. These troops are in exclusive control of the corporations and are used to settle ‘Internal Disputes’.

- Morven was first colonies in the Golden Age of Technology, however due to the chaos of the Age of Strife the Colonists where wiped out. It is though that the availability of food was to blame, since its distance from neighbour worlds meant that they had no other method of sustaining themselves.
- Much Later (M23) the Imperium Recolonised the planet brining along a virulent food crop that was designed to survive in the harsh environment of the planet.
- The Rise to power of the corporations over the government causes the populace to rebel. For a century a Guerrilla war ensues. At first Mercenaries are brought in to train regiments but soon they cause more problems then they are worth. Not only do they also hire themselves out to the rebels but lowlifes from across the Sector flock to the planet. Only with help from the Imperial Guard is the insurgency put down. The Corporations band together to make sure this does not happen again and buy the best equipment for the Local Defence force. The first task they have is to hunt down all the criminals using the planet as a safe haven.
- The Planet is marred by periods of infighting amongst the Corporations, with control of the planet switching between with them every several hundred years.
