More stuff (it will be changed because it does not fully comply with the data from my first post):
Planet description Quechit is a world which is for a great part covered with jungles and oceans. The populated areas are mostly on the coastal areas of the continent and other smaller islands where nature hasn’t taken over yet. Cities are partly on land and partly on the oceans most of the time. However some of the cities have destroyed parts of the jungles in order to expand their living space, but also their agricultural space. The cities are very large, covering most of the coastal areas of the planet, and also covering small parts of the ocean and even some parts under the water. Most of the architecture of the planet is basicly the same: Building which are covered up so that the bricks are invisible, these walls are painted in colours, colours like white, light brown and light green are most common, most of these buildings have flat roofs or have built on roofs which tend to have a dark red or even purple colour. More important buildings tend to be built in the typical gothic cathedral style which is seen in most parts of the Imperium, however they too have a light brown colour, not the dark grey colour which are seen in the rest of the Imperium. Many parts of the jungles are populated by strange and dangerous creatures and plants. Some of these animals and plants are used for the production of medicines. Most of the factories on Quechit produce medical equipment and supplies. The jungles are not only used to acquire the ingredients needed for the medicines, but also as training grounds for the planets PDF and Imperial Guard.
Government The planet itself is ruled by a council of the owners of the largest factories on the planet, they elect one person who is the representative of the planet, and thereby the planet’s governor, the governor keeps his function for life, he will only be replaced when he dies. The governor however does not have more political power than the other council members; he is just the face of the government. The council controls all aspects of control and law on the planet; they decide who becomes a judge for example.
Religion The Ecclessiarchy has a relatively weak presence on Quechit, the people have a limited freedom in religion, they are not obligated to pray or to pay tithes for the shrines present on the planet. The shrines are kept and paid for by the Ecclessiarchy and religious citizens who are willing to pay for it.
Society and law On land there is a relatively moderate level of law. Firearms are not prohibited, but all owners of a firearm are registered. Blade weapons are not illegal either; however it is not allowed to openly show these weapons. On the oceans however there is very little control of the law, Adeptus Arbites coastal units only control the coasts and a small part of the ocean. Smugglers of drugs and weapons are known to operate on several parts of the oceans.
Most of the people work for in the factories, it is relatively low paid and mind numbing work. But the people don’t seem to care about that, they just work really hard, proud of their work. The factories also have large groups of people who go into the jungles to acquire the plants and animals needed to produce the medical supplies.
Not all the factories produce medical products, some of them also produce luxury goods and weapons. Raw materials for these are inside the mountains of the smaller islands surrounding the continents. On these islands are small settlements where the mine workers live.
Since the planet has so much jungles there is also a large group of people who work in the production of wood, they take down large trees, which are used for buildings, small ships, but also as an important export product.
Most people in the cities live (to a certain extend) in harmony with each other, relationships between the wealthier and the poorer people on the planet are fairly stable, there is little crime on the lands Quechit.
Quechitians are known for their friendliness towards eachother and to offworlders. Celebrations are almost a daily part of their culture. People are friendly to each other, and have fun together, no matter what social class they belong to, to many off-worlders this is a strange thing.

Technology The technology on Quechit is fairly the same as on most civilized worlds in the Imperium. However in areas such as communication, medical care and environmental care, they are clearly superior to many Imperial worlds.
Trade and tithes Quechit’s main export products are medical supplies; Quechit medical products are used throughout the Anargo Sector and also outside the sector. The planet also exports wood, food supplies (aquatic and avian creatures), weapons (pistols and rifles) The planet’s tithes are paid in the form of medical equipment and troops, many young people (both male and female) from Quechit join the Imperial Navy and Imperial Guard.
Physiology The people of Quechit are slightly shorter than the standard Imperial citizen, their skin is also a little bit darker. Most people have brown hair and brown eyes, but this tends to vary sometimes.
Psychology Quechitians are very proud of their planet and their work; they are known to be very friendly towards off-worlders, to most off-worlders they are known for their friendliness and directness. They receive off-worlders in a friendly matter, involving lots of dancing and drinking. For off-worlders it is strange to see that these people work very hard during the day, and still have the energy to celebrate at night. Quechitians don’t seem to be bothered by class-differences, which is strange to many off-worlders.
Language and dialect The managers of the factories and other members of the higher class are known to speak High Gothic when they are dealing with off-world business, but when they are talking to each other or members of a lower class they tend to talk in a dialect of Low Gothic.
Planetary defense force Most of the PDF forces are aquatic. Relatively small and fast ships cruise across the oceans, ready to take out enemies in the air, sea or land. In the cities most PDF members have a normal working life too; they will only be active as PDF when needed to. In the jungles there are many small groups of PDF soldiers, experts in guerilla fighting, and experienced in jungle fighting.
The aquatic forces mount fast corvettes of various types; mostly they are anti-aircraft ship, taking out their targets before they can reach the surface. Other corvettes take out naval and land targets, in case the enemy gets to the surface.
The city forces normally don’t do that much, they are on stand by. This is why they also have a non-military career, working in the factories for example. They are called in for duty when it is needed.
The jungle forces are spread out very thinly throughout the jungles of Quechit, small independent units which are specialized in small attacks on larger enemies. Their expertise in guerilla and jungle warfare makes them perfect for this planet.
History Before the Great Crusade the planet was ruled by a Tyrant, killing everyone who resisted his will. He was able to stay in power thanks to his army. This was happening for hundreds of years. Quechit was a poor and exploited planet; the people were slaves to the Tyrant. One day however small groups of people tried to escape, most of them were killed off very quickly, but some of them were successful and hid away in the jungles. There they had a very difficult time, first of all they had to survive in this harsh environment, and life was very hard for the escaped Quechitians. Secondly they had to hide from the Tyrant’s forces, which were now also looking in the jungles. Eventually they managed to survive; they learned that specific kinds of plants could be used to create small explosives. Their rebellion had started. A small outpost of the Tyrant was attacked by rebel Quechitians, the defenders dead and their weapons stolen. More of these small scale attacks followed, later on the people inside the cities learned about the rebels. They too tried to attack, but most of the time they were not successful. The years went by and the rebels gained more weapons and support, now they had build very small scale production facilities in the jungles, producing weapons, supplies, clothes and other goods needed for the revolution.
Years later they started to gain success, they gained control of several cities, the Tyrant was losing ground. His forces could hardly defeat the guerilla fighter and after 15 years he finally lost. The guerillas managed to occupy the capitol, a bloody massacre followed, the Tyrant and his troops were executed, but it didn’t stop there, the Quechitians started killing everybody who supported the Tyrant, and to them that also meant if you didn’t fight against him.
After all this, the Quechitians started to rebuild their cities, trying to get the economy running again. During their time in the jungles they learned about the value of certain plants and animals, they could be used as medicines. Small hunting parties were sent into the jungles to acquire the plants and animals. Medicines were produced on a relatively small scale.
When the Emperor’s forced arrived they found a prosperous world, representatives were sent to the surface to talk to the inhabitants of this world. The Quechitians were interested in the technology the Imperium had to offer. This was why they accepted to become part of the Imperium, it is probably also the reason why Quechit isn’t as religious as many other Imperial worlds.
During the Horus Heresy Quechit stayed very loyal, sending out troops to attack traitor forces. Eventually the traitors tried to attack Quechit, the traitors managed to get to the surface and enter the cities. However, they were driven off very quickly because of the guerilla attacks made by the Quechitian PDF and Imperial Guard.
Many of the cities were heavily damaged after the Heresy; Adeptus Mechanicus delegations came to the planet to help to repair it. The first factories were built, and very quickly Quechit was able to survive on its own again. Medical supplies were produced very fast and efficient, supplying other planets and helping them to repair the damages caused by the Horus Heresy.
Now the planet still supplies medical product on a large scale to other worlds and the Imperium military forces.

Trade and tithes: Quechit is mostly known for it's medical technology, it's main export product are medical supplies, supplying other planets, Imperial military organisation and even some inquisitors. It's secundary export product are wood, consumables (mostly avian and aquatic creatures, but also several local vegetables) and weapons (primairy relatively light weapons). The planet's tithes are paid in the form of medical supplies and human recourses. While most of them would join the Imperial Guard or Imperial Navy, a large percentage are sent off as medical personell.
Tourism: This is a development which has happened in the last couple of centuries. Tourism wasn't a very common thing on Quechit, but recently it has been growing. The cities of Quechit are becomming popular touristical cities where the young and rich like to celebrate and amuse themselves. For the more daring there are small jungle trips, former guardsmen who have trained in these jungles are most of the time the guides through these dangerous forests. Most of the people taking these jungle trips are decommisioned or retired guardsmen.
So far tourism isn't a very important source of income for the Quechitians, but it is growing and it is speculated that in the next couple of decades it could grow to probably a very important source of income.
Most people working in the tourism sector at this time are retired people, military, factory workers, etc. Some people from other planets have immigrated to Quechit to start tourist facilities there, but still on a very small scale.
Industry: There are several large and powerful companies on Quechit, they are also the leaders of the planet. There are large farmecutical factories on the southern continents near and in the jungles. Factories in the jungles are almost entirely isolated, only to be reached by ship on the rivers or arial transportation. These are relatively small factories with a hunderd workers at most.
Factories outside of the jungle are larger, almost gigantic compared to the jungle facilities, thousands of people work there, day and night. Traintransports to the spaceports and local transportation are the main ways to reach the factories.
Woodprocessing factories are also located near the jungles, large amounts of trees are processed into boards of wood for further use. These factories can be reached by train or local transport.
The weapons industry is the tertiary industry on Quechit, mostly infantry weapons are produced: pistol and rifles (las and auto), rocket launchers, autocannons. Military vehicles produced on Quechit are mainly Sentinels and aquatic ships. Most weapon-factories are located on the nothern continent, they are located on the coastal areas, near the large naval ports. They are resupplied by trains bringing the ores from the mountians, deeper in the continents.

Planetary Defense Force: Quechit's Planetary Defence Forces can de devided in four groups. -Jungle Companies -Urban Companies -Aquatic Companies -Mountain Companies
Jungle Companies: These companies dont have a standard organisation. Each company consists of between 25 and 100 troops and their equipment. They operate independantly through the jungles of Quechit's southern continents. Most units consist of between three and ten soldiers, led by a sergeant. Most of these soldiers are armed with autoweapons (pistols and guns), few carry autocannons or grenade launchers. These troops are specialized in jungle fighting and guerilla combat, attacking stronger enemies with their smaller numbers. They hardly use any vehicles, with the exception of Sentinels of an older class, most of the time donated by Imperial Guard Regiments.
Urban Companies: Urban companies are located in the cities of Quechit, most of the troops are on stand-by and thereby can live a normal productive life, but a small number of soldiers are always on active, ready to respond very quickly to the situations which might occur on Quechit. These forces are organised in platoons of 45 men, four normal squads of ten soldiers and a 5 man command squad. Standard weaponry are autoguns, heavy weapon teams are armed with rocket launchers or autocannons. Grenade launchers and flamers are also seen in these PDF forces. For faster attacks they mostly use bikes, units of five mounted on bikes, armed with autopistols and various close combat weapons (knives, swords, clubs, chains) Leman Russ battle tanks provide the role of heavy support for the defence forces.
Aquatic Companies: The aquatic defence forces of Quechit consist mainly of squadrons of relatively small and fast ships. The ships are of local design and vary per shipyard. The armament however is very similar, most ships are armed with Hydra Autocannon AA turrets to take out their foes in the skies. They also tend to be armed with missle launchers to take out targets who are getting close or have already reached the surface. Each squadron consists of three to ten ships, mostly corvette class. There are also larger, frigate class command ships, many of these command ships are also transport ships for landing craft containing land troops.
Mountain Companies: The northern continent has it's own Planetary Defence Force. A very strict and disciplined force. Consisting mainly of infantry, each company consist of 100 troopers. The companies are divided in ten squads of ten men. Nine normal squads and a tenth command squad. Most soldiers are armed with autoguns, covered by grenade launchers and rocket launchers. There are also mounted companies, consisting of 50 men, mounted on modified motorized vehicles to function in this cold climate. These riders are armed with laspistols and close combat weapons, but on many occassions they are armed with two laspistols which have a bajonet connected to it. For heavy support they rely on Leman Russ battle tanks.

You might want to relocate the continent to the equitorial regions this will give you your jungles, you have limited dry land room on this world so be careful how much you use for building on. Remember not all water has to be deep. so maybe they build cities in the shallower regions and cultivate the land for its special plants and what not Remember also that you can farm the oceans as well as the land, meybe they have great underwater fields of sea weed and sea grass, and also fish farms
Just be careful they dont blow it all up
Might this be because the gravity is higher than terran standard?

How come people in Holland are taller than South Americans? is that gravity too?
Im going to change the continent thing since what I made contraticts the H&R thing, so I will adapt it to the info you gave me :)I will do this either later tonight, or during this week

NAME: Quechit UWP: A99A655-C My first comment for this is as elsewhere. The TTL is far too high. C is the lower level for the adeptus mechanicus and no world other than a forgeworld can have a sustainable TL of this level or higher. Perhaps you could revise the design with a much lower TTL? Say somewhere around 7? Remember that two developed worlds in the Anargo subsector include Tryphon and Anargo. Anargo has a TTL of A (10) and Tryphon one of 8! I also note that this 'agricultural world' has tainted water... Surely this is going to impact upon the biosphere!?

true, I will lower the tech level, but this is how I got my information from Dazo. Of course it has impact, perhaps in the plantlife, probably that

That would of course depend on what its tainted with, you could say the seas of earth were tainted with sodium and a great deal of other nastier things but it hasn't drastically effected life on the planet(yet) And that was i how found it on the list, I had the same problem with seleca. Just look at the kind of industry you want on quechit and what sort of tech level would be required to support it

Another short reply, since I don't have time for anything else at the moment; Why do you write that the atmosphere is standard with some slight pollution, when the UWP gives this world a dense and tainted atmosphere? The results from H&E show that this world has a low-oxygen taint, even. To be fair, I did some similar tweaking to Tryphon, giving it a high-oxygen taint, so that it became largely breathable, but it would be preferable if everyone didn't tweak all the worlds like that. (I didn't tweak Nagoma or Proteus' atmospheres though, so I'm not all bad) Anyway, my point is, if this world is supposed to have a tainted atmosphere, let it be tainted. Don't call it 'slightly polluted' and limit the effects to the occassional cough every few days Of course, a tainted atmosphere would really make this an unattractive spot for tourism, so maybe another UWP is preferable?

I could remove tourism too About the slighty polluted thing, that was the original concept, I will change all this later, it will match the H&R more

I agree with CELS, this could be to your advantage, if you give it a disease taint that might explain why Quechit has specialised in medical technology and that now they are immune to the effects of said disease except for the odd cough every few days Just make sure your tourists get their innoculations and it should be fine

true, I will lower the tech level, but this is how I got my information from Dazo. Of course it has impact, perhaps in the plantlife, probably that Why not take a look at World Building and the sticky thread on 'GURPS TL'. Read the entire thing since there is a difference between Traveller-TL (TTL) and GURPS-TL (GTL) and you need to be working with the TTL... (IIRC the first post describes technological breakthroughs were GTL, while there is a rough later conversion between TTL and GTL, though using Traveller's somewhat 'older' assumptions of technological breakthroughs for a given TL.) With regards to the 'water taint'... if it's present in the water then chances are it is present in the atmosphere, and vice versa. As for natural localised variations - 'taints' if you will - then, yes, of course this happens. But another variable tends to move to allow for this. For example, increase/decrease in pH altering the level - or being altered - by the amount of CO 2 at that point... outgassing occurring through alterations in CAM photosynthesis in the area, etc.

I've looked through the tech level thing, and I have decided that this world will have a tech level of 9, following the TTL, I assume I would be dealing with this level then:
This level would be sort of similar to this one I assume:
About the taint, I like the idea of pollution, but not too extreme that everybody would have to wear inhalers so that they would be able to survive outside, off-worlders would have to get a shot (innoculations) before they get to Quechit, but most people (locals) are used to the pollution.
