The following thread will act as the ultimate 'archive' for the "Timeline of the Anargo Sector" as discussed in other threads. There will be a number of posts covering the different 'eras' of the 40k universe, which will be subsequently defined. I ask you not to post comments here but, rather, place them elsewhere. My thanks for your consideration. KageCELS' Edit: Here are the explanations to the superscript.
1 - Taranis I is later renamed Proteus.
2 - Isvik system is later renamed Aquina system, and Aquina I is named Tryphon.
3 - Haran's World is later renamed Seleca III.
4 - Dorian Prime is later renamed Greavedale.

Millennium | Significant Events | M-60,000 | End of the War: The War in Heaven, the great conflict between the C'tan and the Old Ones, ends. It is not due to the victory of one over the other, but rather a result of the dark deeds taken during the war. With the beginnings of the Great Enslavement (q.v.) the C'tan and the Necrons enter in hibernation on the tombworlds while the Old Ones gradually withdraw, leaving their creations to deal with the consequences of the War.

Millennium | Significant Events | M-60,000 | The Warp in Turmoil: With the Old Ones and the C'tan gone, the Young Races are left to forge their own desity. Unguided, the Warp becomes the crucible for the formation of the Enslavers, a malevolent life form indigenous to the warp but which would possess the unguarded psykers.

Millennium | Significant Events | M26 | The War of Stone and Iron: Once more the Keeper, Cripias, refers to a war between the Men of Stone, former servants of the Golden Men, and their own created servants, the Men if Iron. The Men of Iron are destroyed and thus act as a catalyst to the Age of Strife.

Millennium | Significant Events | M30 | The Fall of the Eldar: In the greatest disaster to befall their race since the War in Heaven, the eldar give themselves over in orgiastic rites to the creation of Slaanesh, a dark power of Chaos. The birth of Chaos echoes through the warp and blows away the warp storm that encircled Sol. The Emperor, ready, now begins the Great Crusade.
| 125.M30 | The Light of the Imperium in Anargo: The first planet of what is to become the Anargo sector is claimed as anexus imperialis, a part of the Imperium of Man under the beneficient rule of the Emperor of Mankind.
| 127.M30 | The coming of the Alpha Legion: Two years after the Emperor's Armies have come to the Anargo sector, the Alpha Legion come to bolster this front, led by the Primarch Alpharius himself. Alpharius' advance was halted when the Alpha Legion came across an ancient empire from the Age of Technology. Because Alpharius has conquered far less than the other Primarchs, and because he arrived later than the other armies in the Anargo sector, Alpharius does not waste time with negotiations. Instead, the impatient Primarch declares the ancient empire unholy for their use of soulless machines, and destroys it utterly.

Millennium | Significant Events | 215.M36 | Assassination of Lord Phaedrus: The High Lord of the adeptus astra telepathica, Lord Phaedrus, is assassinated by Lord Vandire who has become both the High Lord of the adeptus administratum and the Ecclesiarch of the adeptus ministorum. Thus begins the bloody period of history known as the Age of Apostasy. In the Anargo sector, war breaks out as the pro-Vandire Theocracy of Anargo orders attacks against the worlds that don’t support Vandire or pay the high tithes that it demands. Proteus cuts off contact with Anargo, and Anargo proceeds to attack Proteus and its allies in the Archaios subsector. The situation is similar for the Silver Skulls, who have a minor presence in this sector at this time. The Archaios subsector is considered rebel, as are several worlds within the Anargo, Dorvastor, Castellan, Meksum and Sargassos subsector. Eventually, the situation calms down as wars come to a near stand-still, with the Battlefleet Anargo blockading the Archaios subsector and regaining control of the other subsectors.
| 240.M36 | Opposing the new regime and the extreme tithes imposed by the pro-Vandire Anargan Theocracy, the Adeptus Mechanicus and Adeptus Astartes grow hostile towards Imperial rule in the sector. In 240.M36, the Adeptus Astartes chapter Silver Skulls attack the Imperial Navy in the Anargo sector, stopping the blockade around Sistina and saving millions from hunger. The Adeptus Mechanicus on Proteus is quick to support this action, and several large military engagements between the forces of the Lord Commander of the Anargo sector and the forces of the Adeptus Mechanicus and Silver Skulls follow in the next years to come.
| 288.M36 | The Adeptus Mechanicus and Adeptus Astartes openly rebel against Lord Vandire, attack his fortress on Terra. Together, the Astartes, Mechanicus, Custodes and Sororitas defeat Vandire. Sebastian Thor becomes the new Ecclessiarch. As Sebastian Thor becomes 292nd Ecclessiarch in 288.M36, the Meksumian and Sargassos subsectors rebel against the pro-Vandire seat of power on Anargo. A huge war ensues as the Anargo subsector launches a crusade against the rebels, with full support from the Castellan and Dorvastor subsector. Battlefleet Anargo is forced to loosen its hold on the Archaios subsector, and there is some traffic in and out of the subsector.
| 353.M36 | The war in the Anargo sector between pro-Vandire remnants and pro-Thor loyallists reaches is climax as countless armies appear from different parts of the sector and even other distant sectors, swearing allegiance to the Lord of the Sargassos subsector. For several years, the Meksum and Sargassos subsector are successful in holding off the armies of Anargo.
| 360.M36 | The mysterious allies of the Sargassos subsector are revealed to be cultists of Chaos and the Sargassos subsector publicly announces its loyalty to the Dark Gods. The Meksum subsector is appalled by this revelation and immediately break their ties with the Sargassos subsector. Now alone, the Meksum subsector is forced to fight a war against the chaos cultists within its own borders, the armies of the Sargassos subsector and the vast forces of the pro-Vandire remnants. In a matter of mere months, the Meksumian defences collapse and Anargo regains control of the Meksum subsector.
| 365.M36 | Almost a century after Sargassos first rebelled against Anargo, the sector's battlefleet finally has full control of the Sargassos subsector. With the exception of a few of the youngest colonies, the worlds in the Sargassos subsector have fallen completely to Chaos and the corrupted population is deemed lost beyond hope. Several worlds are utterly destroyed by the bombardement of the Anargo Navy, and hundreds of billions are killed. Of the once glorious Sargassos subsector, only a handful of sparcely populated colonies remain.
| 549.M36 | The Gaian Revolt (Anargo): The coup d'etat against the pro-Vandire Anargan Theocracy. Led by adeptus arbites Commander Albrecht Gaius, creator of the Academy, the Gaian Revolt is thought by man to signal the initiation of the end of the Age of Apostasy in the sector.
| 598.M36 | A petition is sent from the governors of the Cruciatine sector to the High Lords of Terra for a new Space Marine chapter founding in the Cruciatine sector.
| 612.M36 | The Orks return to the Anargo Sector: After Waaagh! Tuskragga has devastated the Cruciatine sector, remnants of the Ork fleets continue their Waaagh! in the Anargo sector, smashing their way towards the centre of the sector, through the Castellan subsector. A hard-fought victory is won by the Imperium, and the Ork empire is contained in the Cruciatine corner of the sector.
| 615.M36 | The Frost Bringer chapter is founded.
| 899.M37 | Miners on Proculus Alpha discover an abandoned installation from the Age of Strife.
| 321.M38 | Pierro Manin from Neu Povolzh cited religious texts for twenty-three days and three hours at the Anargo main catherdral, stopping only to drink and eat. At the end of the speech he fell and died and for his devotion Manin was uplifted to the rank of demi-martyr minoris by Sector’s Ecclesiarchy in 367.M38.
| 533.M38 | In the final stages of Waaagh! Shradakka in the Castellan subsector, the Alpha Legion causes chaos cults to rise all over the Anargo sector. In their greatest war against Chaos since the Horus Heresy, the Anargo sector is brought to its knees by the countless Chaos cultists who are found both in the civilian population all over the sector, and even in the Imperial Guard and Imperial Navy.
| 540.M38 | With great help from neighbouring sectors and the Adeptus Astartes, the Imperial forces in the Anargo sector are finally able to quell the chaos rebellions. The Frost Bringer chapter is instrumental in thwarting the Alpha Legion, and play a vital part in saving the sector. The Imperial losses from this war are staggering however, and not least of all for the Frost Bringers.
| 692.M39 | The Second Forgeworld: After millennia of preperations and debate, a second forgeworld of the Adeptus Mechanicus is being built. In the Meksum subsector, the presence of a new forgeworld creates a time of economical optimism and investments

Nearing its death, the star varies wildly in size and causes catastrophic temperature shifts on Sistina. A significant part of the population are left behind, doomed to live in anarchy.
| 398.M41 | The Dark Eldar return: In the greatest Dark Eldar incursion since the invasion of Prince Khal, the dark kin of the Eldar perform countless simultaneous raids of varying size in the Archaios subsector.
