If I remember correctly, there needs to be some link to the warp in order for possession to occur. Tau, with no psychcers, have no link to the warp, so no natural route for the deamons to take.
Perhaps some artifact might function as that link, but thats about the only way I can see it happening.

Non-psykers can also be possessed though, as seen with daemon-hosts. This is generally tougher though. With psykers, the daemons can just go after their presence in the warp, which far outlights other human souls.
Special rituals help bind daemons in daemon-hosts, but with Tau this just isn't enough. Like I said before, it's like possessing an insect. Or trying to catch a shark by fly-fishing.

Erm... wow... I guess I stand corrected then Of course, this speaks volumes of GWs inconsistencies, IMO, but at least now it's open for interpretation. By the way, I wasn't arguing that Chaos wouldn't be interested in possessing the Tau, not to mention the Ethereals. Chaos wants to corrupt everything, after all. I was just saying that Chaos hasn't been able to corrupt them. Untill now, apparently.

Chaos Can't corrupt the Tau directly
They have to have a middle man or some other medium through which they can corrupt the Tau.
It could be an artifact, an old temple, Some zealot of a human world. etc. etc.
It requires a lot more effort to corrupt tau than it would to corrupt a planet full of humans.

Erm... wow... I guess I stand corrected then All races can be corrupted by Chaos. The question has always been the wards that they put up against such protections as well as (grrr: orks : any natural immunity they have to it... Kage

Well, depends what kind of corruption, I mean stuff like deamonic possession could only happen to creatures of psychic races. A pariah could not be possessed by a deamon for example, but might be corrupted in another way, rewards for example.

Well any physical entity can be possessed its just that many require that it is done to them (Eg having someone else physically bind the daemon into them) where as any psyker can have it just happen to them if they aren't careful or if they welcome it.

that model is there because rules coflict ith the fluff. When fighting daemon hunter you get to use demons, so when a tau player fights daemon hunters of course he's going to use the rules given him so in the rules tau when fighting daemon hunters get demon possesed tau and such. Many fluff referneces say this cant happen (even fire warrior). Though i Suppose if a middleman-middlething possesed a etherial, the fire warriors couldn't resist obeying orders (yay pharamones)
