I agree with that, but maybe some of their creations are more resilient, some of the nastier undead, War machines made of corpses, like wraith guard but obviosly not as powerful.
Night/Blade eldar, the forest variety, own culture, unified civilisation with forts and stone towers. Warrior culture based on stealth. Do not trust the haemonculi but will employ their services. Lead by warlords/archons. Prefere long range attack with bows

I would let them have the same name, Dark Eldar, and have these degenerate Wych cults be called "Blood Cults" or something like that. Night/Blade Eldar gives me too much of this Warcraft feel for some reason These are the original descendants from the Dark Eldar who crashed on this planet, perhaps some of the original Dark Eldar (who crashed) are still alive too. A small amount of the Wyches has gone berzerk and are now in the dark mountains, hiding...while they go out and hunt for blood.

Cheeky bastards nicked all of my ideas that i had had for my own elven world even ice elves the sods. So are we keeping cabals and cults
Lets keep the vampire thing, humans are present so its not beyond the realms of possibility that they would see them as vampires. Stakes through the heart will work....but then that would work on everything so... Aversion to light is not far fetched so we can make them photosensetive/phobic

I like the vampire idea, perhaps also make it into a Cult to Khaine (Eldar/Elf god of war/murder/blood).
Ice Elves? Are they in Warcraft? What are Ice Elves anyway?

Yeah thats what i said i think, perhaps a cult of the dak father, whats his name.
Ice elves were in warcraft III. They live in the coldest regions glaciers, icecaps, high mountains, use the cold as a weapon, ice blades, arrow heads, virtually invisible on sowfields or in blizzards. Immune to the cold, revel in the purity of the ice hate warm bloods. Can suck the warmth out of living beings But don't like high temperatures

Where these Ice Elves in the expansion set of Warcraft 3?
Ok about the Dark Eldar...the Dark Father would be Asdrubael Vect I think...but we dont know of which Kabal the Dark Eldar in the Anargo Sector are yet, I mean they might be of a Kabal who are totally hostile towards Vect. So lets wait with that

Excellent. I was thinking making the human realms a sort of island kingdom, and giving them a powerful navy, though the orks have some ships they are rather crude. You could have crusades into the beastlands to claim land on the continents. Why islands, its safer they are easier to defend would allow the humans to flourish. Those stuck on the main land would be more barbaric less cultured

Hmm...not too sure on that, I liked the idea of the Humans living in constant danger, Orks attacking them, Elves trying to get them as slaves.
Perhaps more human nations, not just the island one.

The island culture would be the high civilisation but also a rather aloof one, "well it dosn't effect me so i don't care"mentality, your mainland societies would be less civilised more...primitive...I see them like northmen all furs and battle axes retreating to their longhouses when the night comes, safety in numbers. The winters would be worse as the snowghosts would come down from the mountains to get them. People found in the morning frozen solid with a look of terror on their face.

Sounds cool, but these higly civilized humans, will they have black powder weapons and stuff like that? Or more stuff like cross bows and faster ships?

Maybe both, but I see black powder more as a priviliged technology owned only by the elite. They would all have cool armour and swords n stuff though these would be your shiny humans, knights and fair maidens sort of thing. But not totally indifferent to the plight of their less fortunate brethren who have to deal with all the nasties. I can see crusades being launched to help push back the hordes of darkness. Incidentally the map i drew(couldn't resist, i love drawing maps) has a lot of islands so i'm pretty much committed to the island thing

Ok good, keep the highly civilized on the island. Give them large fleets, I mean that their forces are mainly naval...
No wait, something similar to the ancient Greeks (not looks, but tactic) They have some very small heavily defended outposts on the mainland, which are basicly ports and trading posts for the more savage humans to trade goods.
The civilized humans have large trade but also military fleets (perhaps something similar to what the Italian use the have, sort of Venetia and Genua).
But if they have these naval forces it would mean they have a serious advantage above the other races which is a bit too much I think..I mean the Orks would have fleets, and the Dark Eldar too, I mean they migth still have that pirate nature in them.

Yeah but the orks and DE arn't coastal races, they live in the forests and mountains and have far more resources in terms of wood and metal so it kinda balances out. If this wasn't the case they wouldn't leave the islands.
The bit about greeks and italians(lets not forget the british), perfect, thats it exactly, but for the look of them, medieval, gothic period at the hight of steel armour design and architecture...mmm sweet.
