Wow, mmm sabrosa . One tiny thing, could you make the seas slightly more green and the moon slightly larger with perhaps some pastel coloured bands if possible ;D Edit; I keep going back to look at it, damn that is sweet

This is the closest I could get to what I thought you meant; Either you cant do them, or I havnt experimented enough to get bands yet. Ill keep working at it.

The planet looks spectacular, I mean effin good , if bands cannot be done just leave the moon white mate, that will be good enough for me, and can you make it slightly bigger, its only about 1000 miles smaller than the main world. the composition of the picture is perfect though

Okay. Decided to redo the entire peice rather than edit, takes less time and allows me to try some new things in the process. If I made the moon any bigger it looked silly, so there is a little artistic liscence there. Thought the background could do with some more working aswell so changed that. Here we go; [edit] for the people who dont like the in your face nebular; -nathan-

The Cardinal World; I could prob do every world within ASP in about 30 mins, if I got simple climate descriptions etc. May be an idea, be a nice step to have a visual source for all of the planets. -nathan-

Holy halloween, Batman! Those are beautiful beyond words! And the one with the Oberon/Apocalypse class battleship.... classy ;D EDIT: Apocalypse Please, please, please, keep them coming, and please mail all the finished ones you've done so far to cels@rocketmail.com (Keep them under 300 kb if possible though) Nathan, what information do you need, specifically, to make those pictures? And Dazo, no, they don't make the standard template maps obsolete. They compliment the standard maps. First of all, because the standard maps show the entire world. Second of all, because the standard maps allow the world's creator to place continents, islands, capitals, important locations such as shrines, etc. EDIT: Or did you mean that Lucas' pics are vastly superior to the ones you posted at the start of this thread? EDIT: Oh, and I would have asked you to have more clouds on Proteus if A) That battleship wasn't there and B) it didn't look so damned good already

Nice to see people like em. As for information; Landmass/seamass (is that even a word), Climate ; to get an idea of colour of the landmass etc. Number of moons/orbit items. Size, Population for cities etc. Pollution for the cloud cover etc. That should be enough to make a pic of any world. Each world takes about 5 mins to do with a background etc. To put ships in and stuff takes longer but if done right can look pretty cool. So anyways, it wouldnt be a tall order to get all of em done. So, maybee if I start a new topic and ask all the world builders to put down their planet details then I could go about making some pictures of em? -nathan-

I'm Batman he's Lucas Yes thats what I meant, but I also think there is a capacity to flatten them out and have atlas like maps of the same quality. Check out the post thats above the one with the ship Well thats actually what I was going to do, but seeing as how you have the immediate capacity for it I'll bow out and let you do it, and take all the credit...oooh little sod...steals my idea...acts all innocent...

This was my dream from the out set when I first joined ASP, I don't mind who does it mate as long as its done well, and you clearly are the man for the job . So will you just be asking for the info and posting them to CELS or will we get to see them. Also I like the big images better like the first couple you posted. You might want to use the size of the picture to indicate the size of the world, I think that would look better or more accurate as a representation, you know what I mean

Ill post the pictures as I go along if people want me to. The size idea is a good one, Ill put that into practice. -lucas-

No, no not evil, more like a sneak ;D hah just kidding your a hero and i'm quite happy for you to do it, it save me having to download a hell of a lot of stuff that I probably wouldn't be able to get working. I would also like to thank philip, without whom non of this would be possible and whose link to such a cool site has altered the face of anargo for ever ;D

Well, well, looks like you’ve been busy in my absence! ;D Very nice Nathan, between you and Dazo you should have the whole of Anargo mapped out in no time! Now... I hate to nit-pick (actually, I love it) but is the shading of the moons and planets right? I just don't understand why the darker side of the moons look like there's an eclipse. The shading is quite unrealistic and physically strange, I think... Yes it is ‘correct’ due to the lack of reflected/ ambient light, shadows on planets with a thin/ no atmosphere appear very harsh and ‘unnatural’, and the dark side of the world is very dark. The only thing that will soften the shadow line is a thick atmosphere, gas giants have softer shadows. As for the dark side, unless lit by another body, it will appear very dark. Earth is a bit different as it has so many cities giving out so much light that they will even illuminate the dark side of Earth (the plug-in has a slider to add cities to the dark side, but it doesn’t go high enough for a forge world, as I guess they didn’t think of that). I would also like to thank philip, without whom non of this would be possible and whose link to such a cool site has altered the face of anargo for ever ;D You’re welcome Dazo, the offer I made still stands, are you still interested in building worlds for yourself?
