[glow=orange,2,600]Welcome to the Anargo Sector Project[/glow]
The Anargo Sector Project (ASP) is dedicated to creating a full Imperial sector in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, including everything from its capitol world to the local warp anomalies, ork empires and Imperial Navy fleets. The Anargo Sector is a 200 x 200 light year cube in the Segmentum Ultima with cirka 21,000 star systems. Within this sector, there are six subsectors at present; Anargo, Meksum, Dorvastor, Castellan, Proteus and Sargassos. With the exception of the Sargassos subsector, which is a bit special, each subsector will have something like 10 inhabited Imperial systems, giving us about 50 Imperial worlds in the Anargo sector. Of these, about 20 have been selected already, and are being worked on.
Of course, this project is about more than just mapping out each of these 50 worlds, even if that is our primary interest at this stage. This project is about fully detailing an Imperial sector, meaning that we're working on Imperial Guard regiments, Imperial Navy fleets, merchant fleets, alien civilisations, Inquisitorial organisations, and much, much, much more.

Well, first you need to think about what parts of an Imperial sector that interests you. If you're a Sister of Battle fan, perhaps you want to help creating the local convents, writing about their history, famous characters, organisation, or even special rules for the Warhammer 40,000 game? If you're a heretical Chaos fan, perhaps you're interested in creating sector-wide cults that plot to overthrow Imperial rule?
Surf our various forums, dedicated to the forces in Anargo, the different subsector, and see where you want to contribute.
Second, recall that I mentioned that our primary priority at this stage is creating the Imperial worlds in the Anargo sector. It's pretty difficult to write the history for your planet, for example, if you don't know anything about its neighbours. So basically, we strongly urge all our members to create at least one Imperial world for the Anargo sector. What kind of world is almost entirely up to you. You could create a strategically critical industrial world or hiveworld in the Dorvastor subsector, or a prison world in the Meksum subsector; a fortress world in the war-torn Castellan subsector, or a tiny monitor station in the mysterious Sargassos subsector.
To start building your first world, you can either have a quick look at the forum, to get a basic idea of the sector, or read a short synopsis here.
Having got an impression of the sector, think of a concept for your planet, be it a forgeworld, a shrine world or a hive world, and post your idea(s) in the World-Building forum. We'll help you from there.
Of course, there are countless ways in which you can help the project, so you're also welcome to help us develope our Imperial Guard regiments in the Imperium forum, our ork empire in the Ork forum or the capital of the sector itself, in the Anargo subsector forum
Go crazy!
[glow=orange,2,850]"What about Warhammer 40,000 / BFG / Inquisitor / RPGs??"[/glow]
Of course, the ASP brings endless opportunities for all kinds of games set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, not to mention that it makes a perfect setting for fan-based fiction. Already, we're writing Codexes based on aliens appearing in the Anargo sector, writing rules for local Imperial Guard regiments, writing short stories about characters in the Anargo sector and so on. In the future, we even plan on running a web-based campaign in the Anargo sector, similar to what GW did for the Eye of Terror (only better ;D).
If you want to get started on these aspects of the project right away, check out these forums
