Adeptus Soriritas within the Anargo sector

Well i would suggest making the Order situated here a minor Militant order which has sprung up from Order of the Bloody Rose

This allows a bit more freedom in creating our own feel to them (Perhaps have them Guarding a dead Saints remains or something)

Sorry, I'm (ab)using my authority here to establish them as Bloody Rose for purely personal reasons involving me wanting to be able to play with my toy soldiers in the Anargo sector.

However, there could easily exist a minor order as well, particularly a non-militant one. If there was an order of rememberance of some sort, it would most likley not be one of the Militant orders.

So how about this. There's a Preceptory of the Order of the Bloody Rose located in the Dorvastor sub. It's attached to the primary Cathedral of the sub and the Canoness Preceptor makes her home there. However, the Preceptory does not usually assemble there in full force: it provides a small Cathedral garrison and a personal guard for the Eparch and certain relics, probably equal to about a Commandery's worth.

The rest of the Preceptory is divided into smaller forces of Commandery or mission size (or perhaps even occasionally squads or even trusted individual Sisters) who are spread around the Sector in important areas. For example, they might retain a Mission on Anargo itself, to be present at formal ceremonies as a reminder of the Ecclesiarchy's presence; escort pilgrims or guard certain sacred stations in the Sector; and provide small forces to form a symbolic nucleus for the more pious forces mustering in Castellan.

As for the non-militant Orders the Orders Famulous would be particularly active, I imagine, in Anargo and Meksum subs, and the Dialogous and Hospitaller in Castellan, where they need to provide religious instruction, linguistic support and medical backup to the forces there. The Orders Pronatus would be active in Dorvastor and wherever else we decide there are relics.

The idea would be that if anyone wants to write in a Sororitas presence in a sub of theirs, they/their subsector controller raises it with Minister who tracks how the Preceptory is disposed and allows or vetoes their use by particular project members. How does this sound?

PS - Zholud, at least email the BL before you post up anything you've submitted. It would be terrible to put it up here and get a rpely from them a couple of days later saying "we like this, so providing it's not up anywhere else we'll take it".

From what I recall (and this is answer for the Minister’s post as well) A Preceptory is the largest level of organisation below an Order (akin to a regiment or battalion, about a thousand sisters according to latest codex. No info in 2nd ed codex), a Commandery (200 sisters) is a subdivision of that, basically a company, and a Mission is the equivalent of a task group- a small force put together to accomplish a specific objective (ie, your 40k army). Taking to the notion six Orders Militant each up to 20,000 strong, Preceptory can be quite rare thing in sector, rarer than SM Chapter. But with the rest of the post I agree.

I haven’t read all new fluff but suppose that Pronatus are relic keepers… and possible even equivalent to Mechanicus in search for knowledge. Hospitaller can be on newly made prison planet as well – I try to add a darker side to them, with experiments on test subjects for the glory of Emperor.

The Cardinal Primus would like to know what the Sororitas would be doing on a sovreign world of the Adeutus Mechanicus.

I think the Adeptus Mechanicus would have their own defences and security, the Sororitas would probably need the Adeptus Mechanicus more than they would need them.

If you are to believe the setting information (i.e. wargame) in isolation, then that is a self-evident truth, malika. Everyone needs the adeptus mechanicus more than they need anyone else...
