This will not be very structured as this remains very much a work in progress, but I'll provide some infomation.
Star: a yellow main sequence star, very much akin to Sol. However Urelsk is farther from the sun than Earth and therefore somewhat colder
Starport: they are very few and provide only basic repairs. However recently intensive industrialisation has allowed the world to produce a few system ships for self defence
Size: the planet has a diameter of 12,900 km
Atmosphere: nitrogen, oxygen, akin to that of Earth
Hydrographics: 60% of the surface is occupied by landmasses, however rainfall are somewhat superior to Earth
Population: moderate, more precisely 637,000,000, divided between the Urossians (80% of the population), Aurorians (15%), Nemetsi (5%). Urossians are white caucasians, so are Nemetsi (who are however more recent settlers and have a different culture). Aurorians are of Asiatic descent and have a completely different culture (I'll get to this at a later point)
Government and Law: balkanised political system, the Urossians controls most of the planet, under the nominal rule of the Grand Prince (Imperial Commander). However even this territory is divided into highly autonomous districts, independent fiefdoms that only have limited loyalty to the Prince and other free republics.
The Aurorians have their own political system (known as the Aurorian Confederacy).
Finally the Nemetsi have extraterritorial holdings that are not states or provinces of their own but are ruled by the offworld Guilds and their laws.
As such laws vary greatly from place to place, from very strict within the Aurorian Confederacy to very liberal in the Guild holdings
Technological level: This varies greatly, cities have recently gained access to the majority of standard Imperial technology TL6-7 (in limited quantities and quite expensive). The countryside has a much lower technological level (between 4 and 5), although technology slowly spreads.
Guild Holdings and the Aurorian Confederacy have a higher technological level. The entire Confederacy has a TL5, while the Guilds have a much higher (TL7-9)
History: Urelsk was first settled by the Aurorians in late M25 in the opening days of the Age of Strife. The planet was lost until M32 when it was rediscovered by Rogue Trader Constantin Urossian.
Differences in culture and the desire of Urossian to control the entire world led to a war between the two. However the Aurorians managed to hold off the Imperials long enough for Urossian, now Imperial Commander to accept a compromise.
From M32 to M37 the world was considered as a feudal planet by the Administratum. In late M37, large deposits of natural ressources were uncovered in Aurorian territory and in unoccupied territory leading to another war, which the Aurorians won at great cost, much to everyone's surprise.
The Aurorians exploited those ressources to improve their position while the Urossians did the same by settling the empty territories.
In early M40, to compensate for the growing power of the Aurorians, the Urossians called in offworld guilds to industrialise their territory in exchange for mines and other extraterritorial holdings.
However this led to growing troubles with the serfs which had served as cheap labour for the agricultural production of the ealier period. Multiple peasant uprisings led to the abolition of sefdom in 861.M40 and political reforms in 905.M40 Moreover peasants were able to create a republic free of the nobles' domination. However this abolition created a massive reserve of cheap labour for the new factories which slowly changed the situation in favour of the Urossians.
In 067.M41 the Aurorians answered with an industrialisation of their own, only using their own ressources and refusing guild influence.
Currently the world is undergoing major industrialisation that continues to destabilise the planet as society changes. The traditional Urossian nobility does not look favourably at this situation which undermines their power, the Nemetsi attempt to increase their political influence while rapid industrialisation in the Aurorian Confederacy strains the traditional structure.
