Really, that would be acceptable, ok then I like that, and its not like the resource value applies specifically to the main world, it could be its moon that has the precious metal deposits And what is an imperial scout base, does it mean there are warships present

And what is an imperial scout base, does it mean there are warships present This is an artefact of the Traveller system and, for all intents and purposes, you can ignore it if you wish...

I'm certainly a fan of having a vast cathedral capable of holding say, half a million people. Include a massive holoprojector and amplifier systems so that everyone can see a hundred-metre image of the Archdeacon exhorting.
Incidentally, what would people say to a rather more militaristic variation of the Imperial creed? This is where war and combat is associated with holiness even more closely than the Imperium at large; cathedrals are massively armoured and shielded in much the same way as a starship. For primitives you could say that the light of the Emperor (lance batteries) was called forth by his loyal subjects (the priest-engineer in the pulpit) to destroy the vessels of the invaders - of course in a spectacular show where a blinding beam of light shoots from the spire and vapourises something.

So shall it be. I like that image aswell, especially for the main cathedral which holds the ever burning torch of the emperor. It would rise up like a hive spire except all minarets and stained glass.
I think you may be onto a good thing with that idea, especially in the fortress subsector, warrior priests, I like that alot, though arn't space marines supposed to fill that role to some degree. And cathedrals sporting defence lasers, nice.
